The man is a congenital liar and a typical politician, fed from the taxpayer teats so long that if he ever were to go off and fend for himself, he'd starve or need that 'after politics lobbyist or consultant' welfare so many of the ruling class leeches seek after leaving office.
It's too late for them to make any meaningful changes now, and they've just lost their last best opportunity to "close the deal" with the voting public. He's toast, and the professionals know it.
It was statistically a dead heat going into the DNC, and a dead heat coming out. Any bounce that would have been accruing to his acceptance speech is now dead, due to Team McCain's VP pick, and just as importantly, when he revealed it. McCain will get a bounce coming out of the RNC, and expect *both* "The Zero", and "the cheap rug" to be outclassed in the debates. They have no way to make up any of the ground they have lost, barring the unforeseen...

Let’s not miss another part of this clip that is pretty important. He talks about why he left Scranton (starts around 1:35) Seven blocks from him lived the Casey family; “Bob was 12 years older than me, and Bobby 12 years younger...”
Well, Biden left Scranton when he was ten, so even if the rest of it were true, I am pretty sure he did not know Bobby Caey two years before he was born.
But here’s the thing: from the time Biden was six years old until four years after he’d moved to Delaware, the elder Bob Casey was away at college and law school - at Holy Cross and George Washington respectively. And “Bobby” is not twelve years younger than Biden, he is eighteen years younger, born when Biden himself was long-removed from Scranton. It hardly makes the story worse to note that the late Governor Casey was ten, not twelve years older than Biden.
Maybe Neil Kinnock’s famous neighbors fit Biden’s description of the Caseys?
I truly wish i could find this little anecdote in another politician’s speech, because, given Biden’s history, the words are very possibly not his own - especially considering the facts do not match his life.
