McCain's age & general health have to be a concern. This is one reason that his VP pick is more important than Obama's.
Obama should have picked Hill.Hill is laughing right now.
Hold on to your hats ladies, it is gonna get rough!
“Liberman is on vacation-Fox” ~ fatima
And I just heard them say that Huckabee said it isn’t him, so that leaves Tom Ridge and Crist. Now we need to hear that both of them are out!
Liked your picture of Alaska - complete with a Texas Department Store! :) (Neiman Marcus)
And judging by the reaction Beckel's having, either would be a good choice.
And note to Beckel: Palin's got executive experience. Barry don't.
Fatima, are you still watching Fox? Karl Rove was almost misty eyed speaking about Gov. Palin and her little boy. Wow. He says he hasn’t been around her alot, but she is approachable, somebody people will like, will like her family...and she is very smart!
But Hillary can’t do too much laughing - Palin would be a potential huge roadblock to Hillary’s future prospects - say hello to “President Palin” in 2012 or 2016.....
McCain to Name VP Pick on Friday; Pawlenty, Romney Appear to be Out of Running

http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/08/29/mccain-to-name-running-mate-on-friday/
DENVER Speculation about who John McCain would name as his running mate focused on Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin after reports circulated early Friday that two short-listers Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty were out out of the running.
Adding fuel to the Palin possibility was a report that a charter aircraft from Anchorage had arrived in Dayton, Ohio, where McCain has scheduled a noon ET rally to announce his choice.
Palin is considered a rising star in the Republican Party. She is the states first female governor, the mother of five and at 44 is its youngest chief executive.
FOX News confirmed Thursday that McCain had made his selection. McCain was scheduled to appear with his choice at a noon rally in Dayton, Ohio on Friday......
Poor Andrea, they showed her on the phone calling her contacts. She said after her calls that the contenders would be with McCain-so she was told.-HaHa Andrea-So wrong no one will listen to you now.
Fantastic! Now we need to know that Mr. Suntan is out!
I saw that:)
“McCain/Palin are going to win in a landslide of epic proportions.”
I think people need to get a grip. The fact is no one has even heard of this women. She has zero name recognition. Average American is going to say “who?, Oh, McCain must be trying to pander for the female vote” Sorry, I know this sounds sexist - but it reminds me of Mondale/Ferraro and we know how they did. How does it fire up the base when nobody’s heard of her. That, and she has not been through the grinder of a national media spotlight. I’ll give it two weeks before the media digs something damaging up.
Ridge is getting a haircut. Not there.
I have been surfing thru (folks this is by far the most positive Palin thread here on FR). Like you, t-o-l, I am psyched and ready...I think there are alot of strong, conservative women here who will have Gov. Palin’s back...BRING IT!
Palin
Pallin
Palin
Palin
WOW! Thanks for starting this thread. From everything I have read about her (most all of it on FR and posters opinions), Sarah Palin would be an OUTSTANDING pick.
Thanks,Andrea’s nose is growing as I type.Sarah is in Alaska-per MSNBC
;-)
Carl Cameron back tracking on FOX...not Pawlenty, or Romney (who were the picks yesterday); unconfirmed, but says now Palin still in Alaska; says (and I am feeling ill now) Tom Ridge’s people refuse to confirm HIS whereabouts...CNN said he was out though...URGHHHHHH
CNN just described her as “young and conservative like John McCain.”
I had to chuckle.
