Testing......just figured out how to use photobucket but still working on getting picture onto here. If it worked, it’s my son and daughter with our new lab puppy. My oldest son not in picture.
What a sweet baby! $10 in for Belle!
Up to $460. Challenge goes until 6:00 p.m. eastern time (an hour and 15 minutes) Will be back later to tally up! Pet picture ping!!!
Holy Mackerel!
Thanks, I donated $10 more yesterday in hopes I would be able to figure out how to post pictures. It was actually very easy to figure out.
Our Belle is 14 weeks old now and is the most defiant dog I’ve ever had. I’ve been working with her for 6 weeks with very little improvement. We still love her though. Luckily, my sons help out with her a great deal.
I have a somewhat defiant dog too -- it comes with the field breeding. They have to have that hard-headed streak in order to persist through flooded timber and ice-covered ponds after that wounded duck . . . .
Lots of heeling work and plenty of long walks will keep her tired, which will make her more compliant. If she likes to retrieve, join a retrieving club and get her a job, that will give her something to do and she'll realize that she gets to do it because of YOU. Also try clicker training, I've found that very helpful with Ruby. And just having a consult with a pro, maybe one that specializes in field Labs, may help.
OK all you FR pet picture posters, pony up!
If I post my son’s dog (now deceased), will he count?
My son only lurks. LOL
Thanks for the info. I think I will be trying one of those things because she has been unbelievably sneaky and defiant. Very smart because I’ve already taught her 7 tricks. I trained her from day one to stay off the carpets and she’s been very obedient about that but everything else.....not at all. I had a Siberian husky and Springer Spaniel before that died of old age and they were so easy to train. I’ve never really stopped grieving over losing them and swore I’d never get another dog but the kids wore me down.
What a beautiful family.
Thanks. Wish my oldest son was in the pic. I have others of him playing soccer with Belle. He’s happy to have another soccer partner and Belle loves to run. We take her for long walks every night to tire her out but she doesn’t tire out. Will still wake us up all night just to play.
Dutchess, I'm trying to scan a photo of my cat but right now it's looking like I'll not get it done in time.
So here's a thank you bump especially for you, Dutchess!
Thank you, Starwise! Thank you for getting him out there! He is one of the very few true loves of my life! I cannot begin to count the ways that he has blessed our lives.
My pleasure.
In the future, just post < img src=
then paste in the url link in quotes on both ends
and end with < /a>
Remove the spaces after the <
That’s it .. ;)
