Hey big mamas, push yourself away from the table, loose about 150 pounds, stop feeling sorry for yourself and stop depending on the taxpayers to support your fat a$$. Screw what NPR says and reports, there are jobs out there.
To: Sub-Driver
If your meat’s out of reach, it was time to go on a diet anyway.

Nunez's van broke down last fall.It must have screamed, "NO MAS!"
There really aren't many vehicles that could carry both of those women at the same time.

[People tell Nunez her daughter could get more money in public assistance if she had a child. “A lot of people have told me, ‘Why don’t your daughter have a kid?’” ]
Losers.
How do people live like this?

I was a meat cutter in different supermarkets for about 15 years. I could always tell who the welfare/food stamp bums were. All fat slobs!

While the rest of the US starves to death in the coming apocalypse these two sisters will survive and become the ruling class.

What’s going to happen to them? Ask T. Boone Pickens and the Democrats on the Hill. They seem to have the energy market sown up. Maybe their heating bill will go up when Pickens starts diverting natural gas to automobile use - all subsidized by the U.S. government.

Why does it never occur to folks to leave the sh*tholes they’re living in to go find jobs elsewhere?

People tell Nunez her daughter could get more money in public assistance if she had a child. "A lot of people have told me, 'Why don't your daughter have a kid?'" There is a problem with this solution. Finding a man willing to impregnate her would appear to be far more difficult than finding a job

"A lot of people have told me, 'Why don't your daughter have a kid?'" Based on the picture, because there ain't enough beer in Milwaulkee to make those goggles.

They both reject that as a plan.
“I’m trying to get a job,” Hernandez says. “I just can’t get a job.”

Macaroni and cheese, probably. Cheap. Tastes good. Lots of calories. There is even a “macaroni and cheese index”: The economy is tanking the purchase of macaroni and cheese goes up.
One of the problems of being poor is that you don’t buy good food like fruits and veggies. You buy processed stuff like mac ‘n cheese.
