It can’t be considered a bunker until you hear them rack a shotgun or work the bolt of an AR-15.

Education is lost. We need to push vouchers and the only way to take back colleges and universities is to get conservative alumni everywhere apprised of what is going on. They can handle the bozos then by withholding lots of big bucks.

As far as the media goes, never disturb your enemy when they are in the process of destroying themselves. Let them die. We will become the new msm 20 years from now or sooner.

As it is, when I enter my home, I too light essences... I am also a candle guy, as I am a cigar smoker. The two go hand in hand.
Stale cigar smoke is a bane to anyone. I have good air filtration, etc., but candles are truly "odor eaters". Live flowers do smell better, but candles actually seem to reduce the foulness.

You are exactly right about the burning of candles, and being as "odor eaters". Where I used to live, the Asian communities routinely burnt candles as soon as a meal had been eaten, in order to clear the air of lingering food scents.
I've heard others, not clued in, describe the "candle burning" as a religious "offering". lol.
And then there's that old chestnut about smells and "lighting a match!". Well, well. I suppose that might also, in some circles, be considered a "religious offering", too. ;)

Rush prefers the scent of gardenias. I’m seasonal in my selection of burnt “offerings”; pine or juniper for most the year. In the heat of summer, a verbena or mango. In the fall, I prefer a warmer scent, like cinnamon. Spring? Lavender.

I'm trying to understand why you think it is weird, Raybbr. I don't know Rush's reasons for wanting his home scented upon his near entry; but I can tell you that when I enter my home after being away, the first thing I do is either open windows, light candles - freshen the air, basically. If I could figure a way to remotely have these things done prior to my returning home, it would save me the time of doing it myself.
I have a thing about the kitchen being CLEAN when I enter my home (arise in the morning, etc.). I mean, I really do have a "thing" about that... lol
Some folks find it to be a wierd obsession of mine. But it's not really an obsession. My kitchen is the core operating center of my home. When I get home, I want to move forward with all my tasks so I can have some downtime. If the kitchen is messy, that's got to be addressed first in order for me to move smoothly through my tasks.
Rush has manuevered a way to get an essential (to him) task done, performed by others, which reduces him having to do this thing himself.

It’s not the candles, darn it. It’s minions running around his house waiting his return like some monarch that bothers me.

I see nothing weird about him. Massa' has spoken. It's his house, his servants, and his candles. He is just "living large". Why not?
I might do the same if I had minions! I would still grill my own steaks!

I've never tried that scent. Thanks for the recommend.
I do have a lovely selection of incense, too. In fact, I have gardenia incense among my collection.
I'd like my steak very rare, moo-ing, if possible, please.
