There’s a difference if a roadblock would be signs saying a road or bridge is out, or it’s made of flesh and bone.
If flesh and bone is preventing you from continuing on your journey, you go through flesh and bone.
This is a holster designed for thin people. A handgun is longer than it is wide, so the barrel is vertical and the grip is horizontal. I have carried my Chief Special in this model holster for almost 40 years now and IMO it beats everything else.
Ahhh... Police Woman. Yes I remember watching with my dad. He liked her. MY FIL was a Beverly D’Angelo fqn before she found the cheeseburgers.
Reqiring some politicains permission to be armed is garbage.
Without knowing any specifics of your "a modern automatic is much better for self defense purposes" scenario, I would take a revolver over a semi-auto any day. I don't really care how good you are with your Block. Even they FTF and FTE. Do you think you can tap it and rack it faster than I can pull my DA revolver trigger? Most likely not.
Don't get me wrong. I like semi's and own several for carry. But your statement is an inaccurate generalization. The average encounter with a thug is much closer to one-on-one than one-on-twenty. And as far as accuracy, most shots beyond 20 ft are considered murder, not self-defense.
>most shots beyond 20 ft are considered murder, not self-defense.<
hiredhand,
You commented about hiring an LEO to teach you how to avoid being charged with murder. Niteranger68 just posted the #1 mistake people make.
That’s a nice rig. I carry my S&W 642 in a Fobus molded paddle holster. It’s a great warm weather setup. It only requires that I wear a belt and leave my shirt hung out. If I must tuck the shirt in, I’ll drop the 642 in my front pocket.
On the holster note, do any of ya’ll know of a good IWB holster that does NOT require a belt? So far I’ve been out of luck trying to find one.
His favorite movie with her was, Big Bad Mama. *rolls eyes*
I think D'Angelo was great on those vacation movies. They still make us laugh.
She had a funny bit part in the “Every Which Way but Loose” movie as Echo.
“I am.... and I do, proudly!”
Well, then, satire or not, you are every bit as big a jack-ass as your first post indicated.
Thank for confirming that.
You are obviously much more inportant than I relized.
Like I said, satire.
Try the decaf!
The .38+P does work best but I also use a slightly “de-tuned” .357 mag hand-load with good results.
“You are obviously much more inportant than I relized.” (sic)
You’re the one who attacks other people out of the blue for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Maybe you should take your own advice vis a vis caffeine.
And remember Mr. Satire, I ALSO had one of these [ ;^) ] in amongst MY posts.
Every Which Way But Loose, isn’t that the one with the orangutan on it? If it’s the one I’m thinking of, he stole the show. lol
My problem with revolvers always has been that I could not carry them concealed in my favorite place, my front pants pocket, without the problem of catching the hammer on a draw.
That's what I like about my Glock, and even my little Kel-Tec. I can stand there with one hand in my front pocket and other picking my nose without a potential bad guy ever realizing that I already have my weapon in hand, ready to draw from pocket, without the hammer getting caught.
BTW, pleated pants are much better for concealed carry than flat front.
Granted I love the ability to SA a revolver for a very steady shot, especially one where you have a hand rest such a tree that also gives you cover.
Fired one of those .500 revolvers about a month ago. Once, thank you!
Be well
PS — (With ABSOLUTELY NO SATIRE or SARCASM)
Thank you for your service to this country, sir.
Yes.
And for the record, she absolutlely did NOT play the orangutan.
