flunky: "But, Your Highness Senator Boxer! The people don't have enough money to pay for gasoline!"

Babs: "Why, then - let them buy diesel!"

Boxer is our retarded cousin that comes out at a party, says something inappropriate or stupid and walks away muttering something about pickles and feet.

Barbara Boxer is the most stupid human being ever elected to the Senate, hands down.
Stupidity drips from the corners of her mouth.

That’s one of the most stupid things I’ve ever heard.

Boxer is as dumb as a box of rocks. What is even dumber is the people of the state of California who have elected her 3 times. I can say this because I have voted against her 3 times. I know people who have voted for her. They are just stupid people-some are even my relatives. I'm sorry but they are just stupid people. They are the types who appear on Jay Leno's Jay Walking. They are totally clueless.

I listened to some of those morons today on the Senate floor. Inhofe was great. Specter and Warner were a disgrace. And Lieberman, Reid, Boxer, and the rest of the Dems were all awful. It was amazing to listen to all the things they blame on global warming and CO2, specifically. I couldn’t figure out if Reid was complaining about too much rain or too long a drought in Nevada. Somebody was moaning about the oceans being too warm and harming the blue crab in Maryland. It went on and on and on... “the earth has a fever and we have to act now before it’s too late.” They really believe that they can control the weather. Just a few trillion should do it. I couldn’t figure out what planet these people live on.

“The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from all the oligarchies of the past, in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just round the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power.”

George Orwell, 1984

She is a close second to Shelia Jackson Lee,

at a NASA event, "are you going to drive the Mars rover past the flag there on Mars".

It is cold for June in the Midwest. There is concern that we won't have the number of warm days and nights needed to grow a corn crop. As it is, the crop was planted late due to so much rain and cold.

Expensive feed and ethanol feedstock might get their attention. We won't know if it makes a difference until September, but the Greens will cheer if meat becomes too expensive. Luckily, Bush will veto this mess, this time. We need make sure economically and scientifically literate people get into Congress.

As for rural people, I have already been told that we “made the choice” to live here, so we have to pay up, since urban people have a *lower carbon footprint*. I told the clown that they aren't factoring in trucking of food and energy and goods into their utopian urban enclave. I was told it is cost effective since there are so many people there.

They think they are going to grow food in high rise urban farms. I think those farms need high tech hydroponics which means a lot of electricity/fuel/water.

The stupidity is mind boggling.
