We’ll probably stay home like we always do. We live about ½ mile from Lake Travis and they have the annual “Turn Back Canyon” sailboat races this weekend.

We go to the park, put up a tent, watch the boats and throw something to BBQ on a pit. That and a few beers or soft drinks, chips or whatever just relax.

Later in the day, the overindulging – in beer and/or sun – gives us something to laugh at for hours. People make complete @$$es of themselves late in the day. Between the sun burned and the drunks, we have all the entertainment we can stand.

We had a couple of years the lake was very low, but it is “above normal” this year. That should make for a good weekend in the parks this year. Hopefully, it won’t be too crowded.

Some people get there early on Saturday and set up their gear in shady areas, and return later with their group. Since it is a private (home owners) park, no one bothers the stuff.

That so works.I want to sell the place down the shore and get a place on the lake up the mountains but so far my husband has said no.We do a whole family vacation lakefront which is fun.Whole family for us is really only a few-about 20.Hard to find homes that will fit us:)

Well, it is just the wife and I at home now. She usually stays until the sailboats go by around noon and then heads home. I hang around with several buddies until later in the day. The later in the day, the more “things” appear.
