“So much is happening right now. I wish we could discuss current events with this group instead.”

Indeed

-$133 oil
-Possible Iran strike
-A very dangerous, ultra liberal, charismatic person named Hussein an election from the White House
-An enormous welfare state, no matter who is elected president
-etc, etc

I would much rather discuss why we don’t see young, articulate, freedom loving, small government, pro defense Republicans running for office.

You can arrange the time frame however you wish, but many of your "why didn't" clauses involve hypothecations with no foundation in fact.

The time line I cited is from an affidavit filed by a Colorado law enforcement officer. I doubt he is lying under oath about things like when he spoke to a Texas Ranger. You may not like the facts, but here they are: Look at Page 34

Because we don’t stand a ghost of a chance of being elected.

The deck is stacked against anyone not of the “machine”.

These women were “disputed”. That’s because they said they were adults, and the CPS said they were not.

In the case in this very article, the woman gave them her driver’s license the first day she was picked up.

Further, only 100 or so out of the 460 children were not readily linked to their mothers. In over 75% of the cases they knew WHO the mother was.

The CPS told the story that they didn’t know who was who, but they were ignoring evidence like drivers licenses, birth and marriage certificates from Utah, and other information and direct statements by the mothers and children.

Yes, there were some women who lied. Some did so to be able to stay with their children. But these 26 were disputed because they said they were adults and CPS said they were children.

The problem we have here is that every time one lawyer says something about one parent or one child, the pro-CPS folks pretend it’s true for every case.

That’s how we got the absurd belief that every one of the 461 kids and their parents lived in a single dorm on the facility.

Excellent topics but not for this thread. I was talking about here. Lot’s of stories out about these kids and the trial. We seem to be stuck on what happened instead of what is happening IMOOC.

I don’t feel at home on FR anymore when FReepers justify this raid on innocent children and women, rounding them up like cattle and sheep, making FLDS worst nightmares come true, all based on a false report.

No, they have not charged one person with one crime. If I were rich, I’d donate money to the FLDS legal defense fund. Yes, I would, in a heartbeat.

“...how many kidnapped kids should F(lds) be allowed to possess? 1, 10, maybe 50? How about 100? “

How many knidnapped women should CPS be allowed to possess? 1, 10, maybe 50? How about 100?

They have admitted - CPS has admitted - that they kidnapped 10 women, as of today.

That is a federal death-penalty offense in each case.

Which CPS worker has been charged for this death-penalty offense?

<<<<<< crickets >>>>>

So you believe if you don’t have mail delivered to your house, it’s really part of somebody else’s residence?

Lucky you. Ignorance is bliss. The way they have stomped on the Constitution would make you sick.

Yep and the American public turns a blind eye to the whole thing because they cant imaginge that their government can abuse its own citizens.

You don’t have to participate in the FLDS threads. There are plenty of other threads.

I’ve enjoyed these threads because a lot of the pro-CPS folks who wandered around calling people names got tired of it and have moved on, so the rest of us can discuss the issues of state power and it’s limits.

It is unfortunate that the current event providing this opportunity is a religious cult which practiced illegal activity. But that doesn’t matter except when some people can’t separate the crime of the perpetrators and the bad acts of the state.

I totally agree with all your points! This is what I have been saying from day one- but many here seem to think it is ok to get these people for anything they can- anyway they can. The ends justify the means. Most never would believe this very thing could happen to them and any precedent set here will be used against everyone in the future. Those same people would be the first to scream if they were treated this way.

Did you know that all mail to a hotel goes to a single address?

Did you know that all the mail I sent to my son at Boy Scout Camp went to a single address?

Do you think that it is a requirement that you have direct mail service in order for your home to be considered a residence?

I don’t know if there will be lawsuits in the end on the CPS use of a single warrant to enter multiple houses. CPS has the children hostage, and if they have to can make deals to give the children back in exchange for an admission that they entered legally.

I was watching YouTube videos of inside the ranch and it appears that the fathers and mothers do not co-habitate, for the most part anyway. It appears that the mothers live with the children in a communal manner, kind of like a kibbutz community. Anyway, I think the authorities are going to have one heck of a hard time trying to prove polygamy since the mothers appear to live separate from the fathers. According to TX law, for polygamy to be an issue, there has to be something of a common law marriage situation. Of course, the State of TX can do anything it wants, including ignoring the Constitution. That’s obvious.

How, about birth certificates ~ no one said CPS didn't recognize them. On the other hand, given what appeared to be an organized disinformation effort by the F(lds) adults

They have mastermind a clever organized disinformation campaign? Hmmm...

It was just 2 weeks ago when many like yourself were claiming these people in this "cult" were zombie like robots, that were not capable of critical thinking.

It's become painfully clear, this whole Texas raid was tainted and compromised from the very beginning

You are confounding the F(lds) with the “Steppford Wives”.

States rights is an interesting subject but can’t we also discuss daily happenings here too? There should be room for both, don’t you think?

Texas changed their laws to accommodate precisely the F(lds) arrangements.

The determination that the camp was a single residence was one made by the F(lds). The warrant, however, covered everything ~ absent room numbers, of course, it's not possible to give room numbers ~ and I seriously doubt F(lds) passed out their internal addressing system to the CPS and the Sheriff.
