The Republican Party has officially become a branch of the Warmist cult. Disgusting. It links to an introduction to the turd McCain's idiotic and potentially catastrophic "cap and trade" charade, and a "green pledge" for people who want to show how stupid they are.

What a world and life we are leaving to our kids and grandkids — cold, hungry and destined to not travel more than 50 miles from your birthplace over your lifetime. Welcome to 1820.

It's fun to clck on the thing just to see how totalitarian it is. Above all, just like the website Newt and Pelosi are stooging on, it does NOT have any space for comments, comments that might disrupt the bandwagon.

My Letter to the GOP:

Dear Mr. Duncan,

I didn’t think there was much more the GOP and John McCain could do to alienate their conservative base (amnesty, campaign finance, out of control spending, etc.). Clearly, I was wrong. With more and more evidence and public opinion contradicting our ability to warm or cool the planet, you folks have gone off the deep end for one thing; Politics. This used to be the party of Goldwater and Reagan. If we could only tap the energy being created by those two spinning in their collective graves, we’d solve our energy problems. Oh wait, I have an idea. Why doesn’t the GOP get in the trenches and start fighting for; 1) drilling in Anwar, 2) drilling in the Dakota’s, 3) allowing refinery to be built in the USA (remember us) which hasn’t been done in over 40 years, 4) undoing a Clinton executive order that bars Utah from mining the largest clean burning coal deposits in the world ( can you say Riady, sure you can).

I can trust a liberal, because I know where he’s coming from. I can’t trust the GOP, because the RINO’S are running the party and I don’t know what they stand for anymore.

Sincerely and with great sadness and disappointment,

John Haines
Lake Orion, MI
Former Republican and current Independent

Ps. No more $

Wow. Just wow. I started to craft a letter to the Chairman of the RNC, but I wonder if its just way to late to save the Republican Party? Do we need a “Conservative Party”?

Can someone please explain how this is “market based” when the government is setting it up and setting the limits of emissions?

Seriously, I see this described as market based, but it seems to be all government imposed. What am I missing here?

I think the “make your pledge” part is funny, coupled with that picture of the old liberal RINO.

Forget it McCain. We are hanging on to our bucks. Get yourself elected idiot. Ask your rich wife to make a pledge.

I came to the Republican Party twenty-eight years ago as a reconstructed Southern democrat.

I did not leave the Democrat party; it left me. It moved to the left of Marx and Lenin.

I did not just leave the Republican Party; it left me.

They provided me with a candidate that

  • Believes the Marxist lie of global warming
  • Refuses to make the USA energy independent by drilling off-shore and at ANWR
  • Wants to give Terrorists full civil rights and support by the ACLU
  • Wants to make citizens of criminals like MS-13, laRaza and MEChA
  • Wants Mexico to conquer and annex Aztlan (US southwest states)
  • Is against tax cuts to stimulate the economy
  • Wants to limit free speech
  • Wants to kill babies to support failed research
  • Wants the death tax
  • Wants to raise taxes
  • Wants to endanger our troops by treating Terrorists as "nice guys"
It is clear that the Party of Lincoln and Reagan is over.

Turn out the lights the party is over

Thats alright the next time the RNC calls for money I’ll tell them I spent the money I would have donated on carbon offsets.

I swear these jerks really want to lose this election.

John McCain is a terrible candidate. He does not represent anything I expect of the GOP nominee.

Congress will typically stand behind their leader rather than commit mutiny, so I think its best that McCain lose the election. That way the Republicans can stand against any AGW legislation full throated. I was hoping Hillary would get the Dem nod so that we could shoot it down in shambles.

If McCain gets in, they will make Cap and Trade the law of the land before he finishes taking the Oath Of Office.
