Months ago, the republicans had a field of viable candidates. Suddenly, they started dropping like flies and John McLain was the exalted candidate. Isn't John McLain the New York cop who fought Hans the terrorist in "Die Hard"? Is he running for president too? Wow, I didn't realize that. Cool. He'll probably just shoot Obama, and that PITA Mookie al-Sadr too. I'll def vote for him.

You raise two separate issues: the media and democrat power-base veering away from the Clintons, and the flat-out weird nature of this year's primary. As to the second issue, I think we are being “manipulated” by a shocking lack of leadership in both parties. As to the first, this started the day that BJ left the WH. There was a negative op-ed in the NYTimes within days of departure. I think a LOT of democrats have “clinton fatigue”. They liked BJ, but now want someone else. My 2 cents, anyway.

The answer is global elitist and what they think works for their interests. They get the cows and we get the BS.

Were being manipulated, but by whom? It's "they" or "them". It always is.
