If a lib spends the money of others to fund a goofy fantasy and it fails, the lib answer is to spend even more money and try it again. It goes to infinity.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. - Albert Einstein

Hence liberalism is insanity, but we all knew that. Actually I just think it is the disease of evil. Thread on this thinking in a thread by wagglebee.

Canberra, Australia (LifeNews.com) -- Abortion advocates say the use of contraception is an excellent way to reduce the number of abortions and have demanded that taxpayers fund more contraception efforts. However, a new Australia study shows two-thirds of the women seeking abortions did so because their contraception failed.

The study included 3,400 women who went to an abortion business in Adelaide over the course of a decade....

The left whines about racialism and equality and other doggie doo, but they really seek the opposite. I echo earlier comments on this failing of projection. Here, we see the goals of PP are exposed for what they are, to aid the extermination of a race of people, not just blacks, but also American Indians.

I don't like their PC moniker of Native Americans. Last census I identified myself to the hapless Census taker as a Native American because I was born in America. Somehow declaration that I might be a Norwegian American offered no benefits or special status, except amongst lutefisk lovers.

June 9, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com/PRI) - The American abortion lobby claims to be an equal-opportunity abortion provider, looking out for the needs and wants of all women. Not so. Big Abortion devotes an inordinate amount of attention to Blacks, Hispanics, and Alaska Natives who, in proportion to their population, have the highest abortion rates in America. Now, eager to add another scalp to its collection, it is turning its sights on Native Americans....

Plasticized corpses are nifty to the left, great for making lamps and garden ornaments and chew toys for Fido. (And...winding up as a novelty at a yard sale.) But show them a picture of results of their own evil thoughts exposed as action and they are, uhhhh, offended.

Try showing these same enlightened lefties a pic of dehydrated Lisa MacPherson or an aborted baby and watch their sneers fade in a heartbeat.

Thread by SJackson. Thanks to TheSarce for the tip.

South Los Angeles resident Erlyne Toney-Alvarez, 67, had always planned to be cremated when she died. Simple. Inexpensive. Graves, she said, are a waste of land occupied by the dead.

Then she saw the intricately plastinated bodies at the Body Worlds exhibit at the California Science Center -- bodies that had been stripped of their fat, filled with plastics and shown off in all their muscular, organic and anatomical glory for the world to see in traveling shows.

Now that, she thought, is the way she wants to go....

'Body Worlds' exhibit inspires body donors [plastinating cheaper than funeral, and people see you]

A judge has prohibited the tube's removal, and has appointed a committee to determine her competency.

So competency is now the determining factor? Slippery slope? What slippery slope? And where is this hand basket going?

So, Charlie Crist's biggest accomplishment was killing an innocent disabled woman. That doesn't look good on a VP resume, does it?

"Florida governor Crist is perhaps best known for not intervening in the Terri Schiavo case." Well, when you're a party man and you are all cuddly with a judicial tyrant, what do you expect?

Sam Golubchuk update...

The death lusting doctor who wasn't allowed his fun in killing Sam Golubchuk continues to stamp his feet in tantrum and to kick his dog, or worse.

.............................

WINNIPEG — The doctor who originally wanted to remove an Orthodox Jewish man from life support last fall has resigned from Winnipeg’s Grace Hospital, saying that “continued support of the patient is tantamount to torture.”

The trial to decide whether the hospital has the right to remove Sam Golubchuk’s life support against his family’s wishes and  religious beliefs is set to begin Nov. 24, almost one year after Golubchuk’s family  initially obtained an injunction against doctors who wanted to remove the 84-year-old from life support.

In an affidavit, Dr. Anand Kumar said he withdrew his services because it is “in violation of  my medical ethics to continue [treating  Golubchuk].” He also said he believes that the “services administered in accordance with the [injunction] order are not of any medical benefit,” and in fact cause harm to Golubchuk because they’re uncomfortable and painful.

In his resignation letter, Kumar wrote, “If we honestly attempt to follow the Court mandate to focus on keeping Mr. Golubchuk from his natural death, we will likely have to continue to surgically hack away at his infected flesh at the bedside in order to keep the infection at bay. This is grotesque. To inflict this kind of assault on him without reasonable hope of benefit is an abomination. I can’t do it.”.....................

The story continues, recapped in LifeSiteNews...

...............................

WINNIPEG, June 10, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Jocelyn Downie, the Canada Research Chair of Health Law and Policy said at an End-of-Life Ethics & Decision-Making conference at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg yesterday that doctors do not have the legal right to withdraw life-sustaining medical treatment against a patient's wishes.

Downie, who is Canada's foremost player in interpreting health law issues, stated that there is no legal precedent in Canada that gives doctors the authority to remove a feeding tube or issue a do-not-resuscitate order against a patient's wishes.

Downie directly contradicted a notice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, who asserted in their February 1, 2008 policy statement that a physician could unilaterally decide to remove life-sustaining treatment, including fluids and food, in certain circumstances.

The statement said that even when a patient is likely to regain a level of self-awareness, the physician could still withdraw life-sustaining medical treatment if the doctor obtains agreement from at least one other physician. The doctor also must seek agreement with the family, but if agreement cannot be achieved, the doctor must give a 96-hour notice before removing life-sustaining treatment, including fluids and food.

Downie said that the guidelines need to be revised because they go too far. Doctors can't medically determine whether a life is worth living. "I think it's taking too much authority for physicians and I don't think it's legally acceptable or ethical," stated Downie................

A Supreme choice for Charlie? Is this Dudley Do-Right?

..................................

TALLAHASSEE — Dudley Goodlette had a successful career in the Florida Legislature. His latest assignment was giving legal advice to the Taxation and Budget Reform Commission.

Now the Republican lawyer from Naples wants to be a justice of the Florida Supreme Court, where four of seven justices will leave by the end of 2009.

"I think I would add value to the court, and I'm anxious to convey that," Goodlette said Tuesday as his name circulated among prominent lawyers and supporters of Gov. Charlie Crist, who will make an unprecedented string of court picks.

~Snip~

Unlike most applicants for the court, Goodlette held a partisan political office and has a voting record that reflects his views.

He voted with the Republican House majority on two highly contentious issues struck down as unconstitutional by the Supreme Court: allowing then-Gov. Jeb Bush to override the courts in the Terri Schiavo case in October 2003 and tax-supported school vouchers in April 1999..................

Brilliant, I exclaim, brilliant! The lefties outdo themselves with the simple word, "reason", using it in a way quite opposite of reason. They can't help themselves and really and truly do not see how dumb they appear to normal beings. Best they can do is burp up the Hitlerean propaganda of their favorite pro-lie.

One bellwether event was the tragic case of Terry Schiavo, a brain-dead Florida woman attached to a feeding tube. Her husband wanted to let her die, and her parents did not; keeping her alive had become a rallying point for the religious right. According to a leaked strategy memo written by a senior staffer for Sen. Mel Martinez (R-Fla.), congressional Republicans thought the case would be “a great political issue” because “the pro-life base will be excited” by it. Republican legislators and President Bush rushed back to Washington on Palm Sunday in 2005 to pass a law preventing the removal of Schiavo’s feeding tube. As the courts promptly ruled that the tube could be removed anyway, polls showed Americans disapproved of Washington’s intervention by almost 2 to 1....

Oh whee. How exiting! We new have a new standard of sanctity of marriage and a championing of cozy relationships like Mikey and Terri.

Starting next week, gay couples in California will be allowed to marry. No doubt, this will be a media spectacle covered on every channel.

~Snip~

But I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since these are the same type of conservatives who passed federal legislation to interfere in the marriage contract between Terri and Michael Schiavo, taking away the rights of an individual to make medical decisions for his incapacitated spouse and giving those rights to the government. The fact is that the issue of gay marriage in Missouri has been settled, and its ban is now part of our constitution. It will not be revisited any time soon, and for all practical purposes it is a dead issue....
