Simple solution: Let the Feds establish universal carry, concealed or otherwise throughout the land.

Where have you been? They did that over two hundred years ago. At the time it was referred to as the "second amendment".

No matter what you say you can’t convince Liberals that legally carried firearms are not a threat to the public. They are only a threat to the bad guys.

Decades of experience shows that it works.

No, Di, decades of experience show that it is unnecessary. They're not stacking the bodies in the state parks where carry is allowed. These laws are a phony solution to a phony problem.

The number of such laws - the "assault weapons" ban is another - that date from the Reagan administration hearken back to a time when it was still felt that compromise with gun control zealots was possible. "Gun control we can live with" is the slogan I recall from a very brief period between the time when the AWB was introduced and the moment when the Clinton gang decided to demagogue it into a "stand up to the NRA" charade. The upshot wasn't "living with" anything, it was a succession of increasingly hysterical campaigns for more draconian solutions to the "problem" that were aimed at the people who weren't causing it.

Di-Fi has since given up her own concealed weapons permit, or so she states. It is revealing that she had one in the first place given how very difficult they are to obtain in California. Let her give up her armed bodyguards as well and live like the rest of us and maybe we can talk about when and where it's good to be armed.

Says the good Senator:
“It would create an incoherent, ineffective, and inconsistent patchwork of policies – across the country, and in some places within the same national parks.”

As opposed to what we have now?? LOL.

Feinstein, the lady who is renowned for carrying a 38 in her purse. This information came from past bodyguards.
By example and known fact it is quite clear that she believes that she has the right to being armed and being able to protect herself while repeatedly and consistently trying to deny that right to everyone else. It is obvious this arrogant POS thinks she has rights that she is bound and determined the rest of us shouldn't have. In a year of two Arnold will be out of the governors position and looking for a new job. I believe it will be her job that he takes and not a moment too soon.

As a matter of fact the VCDL is actually the one that got the ball rolling with our petition to the DOI.

For example, Death Valley National Park is in California and Nevada. California prohibits loaded and accessible weapons in its state parks. Nevada does not. So which state law would apply at Death Valley National Park?

Well, hopefully Nevada until Ca wakes up. Beware of any politician that doesn't think free people have a right to defend themselves.

GEEEEEZZ Diane- There are GPS units that will tell you if you are in Nevada or Kalifornia when you are in “Death Valley Park”. This park was created by you and Alan Cranston. It never was needed. It was all a sham. Why? Because there has been almost no money spent in policing the park, and it is huge and remote. Therefore, visitors should be able to carry weapons. Remember- Charlie Manson lived in Death Valley for years. They are still looking for bodies where he was at the Barker Ranch.

Tempting-— but just what Los Angeles mayor wants. He was the student activist leader of La Raza when he was at UCLA.

What does the federal government do to make a national park “work well”?

They are good at collecting money at the gate.

“What does the federal government do to make a national park “work well”?”

Very little. Which is why we think it works better than say other programs where they spend more $$ and work harder ?

I dunno just a guess.

Good Lord. The woman is really stupid. You'd want to carry a gun in the back country for a reason. Self-protection. I can see she has never been out of Washington in her life. DiFi has no idea just how dangerous Nature is. Its not only bad people one has to contend with in the national parks and wildlife refuges.

In federal parks, federal regulations would override and pre-empt all state laws to the contrary notwithstanding. DiFi should look up the supremacy clause in the Constitution sometime.

Federal law takes precedence over state law where there is a conflict between the two. Any court can inform DiFi that's always been the case.
