But instead you have all the Mormon's here defending this cult !!!!!

On what do you base that outrageous statement?

I rather think it's the opposite.

There may be some people using a legal argument - but on what basis do you presume any of them are Mormons.

Now there IS ample proof that there are some bigots in here who are trying to equate the Mormons with the low lifes of the RLDS.

That's about as un Christian as one can get.

That is kinda weird, isn't it. They have no qualms about condemning all of us ex-Mormon freepers and yet they seem to have a lot of sympathy for these "Apostates" who practice what the LDS Church only preaches.

Name ONE poster here who is a Mormon who is defending, befriending or sympathizing with these people -

Some are bringing out a legal side argument - but I don't read where the poster is a Mormon. Aren't you assuming?

Bigotry overriding judgment?

Don't suppose you know how to look at the posters personal page, several say what faith they are, more said so when the liberal Willard was running for office, but here in the past few days some have edited their pages as well.

***Not sure all the Mormons are defending the F(lds) ~ sounds more like they don’t want us referring to the F(lds) members as Mormons.***

I’ve noticed a strange quietness on these FLDS threads from the usual LDS posters. It’s like they suddenly dropped off the face of the internet.

Just because you haven’t been around doesn’t mean that the rest of us haven’t been dealing with the fierce Mormon attacks for the last 18 days related to the Flds.

It isn’t our job to start listing all of the freepers that you want named, you just need to start reading the threads.

This little 3700 post thread is one, who would have thought that the Latter Day Saint sect would have so much support for their sick polygamy practices.

As I said - the judge's ignorance will precipitate more trouble AND IGNORANCE - it's already raising it's ugly head here.

Popping those gums aren't you. Explain to me the judges ignorance, are is it yours and you don't understand the law.

Define more trouble and ignorance, are that your self definations of your future statements.

From the trial, the testimony of the state witness Doctor: Judge rules to leave sect children in state custody
The state's star witness, Dr. Bruce Perry, conceded under cross-examination Friday that the majority of the children would not face immediate sexual or physical harm if returned to their parents.

The children might be subject to "potential emotional abuse," Perry told the court. But only the post-pubescent girls would be in danger of being sexually abused in a culture that believes in spiritual marriages between underage girls and older men.

And the children, older girls excluded, would likely be more damaged by being placed into foster homes as opposed to returning to their parents, Perry said.

"The traditional foster care family would be destructive to these kids," Perry told the court. Attending public school and exposure to modern ways would be overwhelming for children raised behind high walls in a deeply conservative, highly authoritarian sect.

Perry has treated children raised in reclusive fundamentalist sects, including the 23 children who were released from the Branch Davidian compound near Waco before it burned in 1993. He is advising the state in this case.

When asked if all children at the ranch were at risk of abuse, Perry paused.

"I have lost sleep about this question," he said.

...

Perry said he believed CPS could work with some of the women so they could take apartments in town and be allowed to live with their young children.

I've stopped bothering, and will let the state's own "star witness" do my talking.

the low lifes of the RLDS

Let's all be careful with the typos and acronyms. I believe you mean the FLDS.

We don't want to be accused of what others are doing on these threads, typing "LDS" and "Mormon" instead of "FLDS."

Who are the usual LDS posters that are so silent?

Perhaps they’re just not interested.

Some of us are not silent at all.

“There may be some people using a legal argument - but on what basis do you presume any of them are Mormons.”

I agree, some of us are getting painted with the “mormon sympathizer brush”...I dont believe in the “grab em all” and sort em out later technique..still think the 4 year undercover plant at the compound should have had enough evidence to take down the offenders only! and oh yeah , the tank! {did they not know there were 400 kids there} so much for finesse??

ALL? Your ignorance is showing.

No just yours, all of the ones defending, is all of the ones defending. Now if your were not in that group you would not be included, because you would not be defending. Get IT?

Other wise I would have said all of the Mormons here are defending. Which I did not.

"...concerns from Texas child welfare authorities about improper communications between mothers and children..."

That has a lovely ring to it, doesn't it?

Cordially,

My bad. I read too quickly.

Of course there are far more non-Mormons defending this FLDS cult, but that is a separate issue.

I read that only 5 of the captured kids are pregnant or have given birth under the age of 18.

The age of consent in Texas is 16. So it remains to be seen as to whether or not there are any 13 year olds who are pregnant. At this point, there are not.
