The business cycle is well known. Recognizing we are in the early stages of a recession does not condemn Senator McCain as a RAT wannabe.
Incidentally, anyone truly interested in understanding the recent maladroit efforts of the Federal Reserve should read this: HERE.

The senator indicated that both Congress and President Bush are partly responsible for the situation, At least McCain got that part right, and it's significant that he's willing to criticize W.
