In my opinion this is a fantastic way for the Free Republic to do something jolly useful in fighting the War on Terror. This is a nifty initiative that is way, way overdue.

How DARE those grimy Muslim mungrel Terrorists use our Western Civilized technologies to their own filthy ends? They didn’t invent the jolly computers, nor the Internet, and they didn’t pay for any of the infrastructure, either. And here they are posting videos of them showing off with firearms like they are entitled or something!

This is very worthwhile getting filthy angry about.

The cheeky sods are Freeloading Grimy Muslim mungrel Terrorists! They don’t deserve YouTube. They don’t deserve to use the Internet. They don’t even deserve E-Mail. They’ve abused the privilege of technology so it is time to deprive them of it.

By time we’ve finished the knuckle-dragging stone-age cave-dwelling-sodding-savages will be communicating by camel-mail and smoke signals, and writing their messages with sharpened sticks on clay tablets.

Hmmm... what say you to this idea, then. We collectively need a really good way to score our team’s “kills”, pictorially. Every time a video is yanked, that is a “kill”. Every time one of the scurvy mungrel terrorist posters is suspended, that is a bigger “kill”. Sorta like they used to do with aeroplanes during WW-II.

I wish I was good at graphics, because it would be blood-simple to do. We need a picture or sketch — say, of a P-40 Warhawk complete with shark’s teeth — side-on, from prop to rudder. And we need to agree what symbol represents what sort of “kill” — say a little crescent moon for a video, and one of those little Mohammed-heads for a suspended poster. The aeroplane could have some artwork on its fuselage...

...and we can update it just by adding additional symbols. Post it up in the Canteen as a visible show to the troops that we all are doing more than just gassing about the WOT — we’re actually hunting down Muslim Terrorist propaganda and putting ‘em out of business.

When we run out of room on one aeroplane, we do a second one — say this time an F4-U Corsair. Until we have a whole squadron.

What say you all to that? Can anyone cobble something together? Or has anyone got any better ideas?

I think you're on to something, DH. More technically inclined posters may want to take note of your idea. When that now famous photo of the whiteboard reading, "America is not at war. The Marine Corps is at war; America is at the mall," came out, some folks got upset. If we've got a way to actively participate in aiding the War on--not "Terror" but--Radical Islam, then by all means, let's do it.

And might I add that you've got a very interesting and succinct way of phrasing things, à la, post #222. It's like, I don't know, brutal honesty about some particularly brutish enemies, stripped of the politically correct ring-around-the-rosy that we in the States are all too accustomed to.

But don't be discouraged!  We keep track -- we will wait a bit and re-flag them!
This is EXACTLY why we need your help.  We are posting some of the most
stubborn ones that we have been flagging for a while - hopefully the fact
that lots of us a flagging them will eventually lead to their removal.
YouTube gets about 35,000 new videos uploaded per day -- which may
explain why sometimes removal is slow!  Thank you all!!
