What was the white man’s sin?

What is little known is that the 'white man' was Al Gore.

He first made an issue of Horton in a Dem debate, long before any republican ad.

For those who might not remember, during the 1988 presidential campaign, Republican George H. W. Bush ran ads against Democrat Michael Dukakis that featured the face of Willie Horton, an African-American man.

The Bush ad I saw didn't show Willie Horton's face. It showed a bunch of convicts going through a gate (turnstile?).
