I guess I’ll need to increase my efforts to stomp on insects at every opportunity.

All you “it’s a living thing” activists need to stop living immediately. Your bodies are slaughtering millions of innocent bacteria and benign parasites every day.

Dang, yank and I were going to create the “Save A bug” program. Were going to have people send us money to trap cockroaches and release them at PETA’s headquarters.
We planned on sending donors a personal photo of their sponsored bug, and updates on their well being.

"I'm not trying to turn them into bug activists. But I hear these kids say how cool it is when they shot this person in a video game or how cool these bloody movies are, and I'm concerned. That made me think." Judging from how eco-terrorist have been willing to employ violent actions against law abiding citizens, I'd guess her attempts a developing a kinder, more gentle elementary school is doomed to failure with this tact.

“What we promote is trying to stop senseless slaughter, just people being afraid of things they know absolutely nothing about,” he said. “Once they understand it’s not harmful, they don’t hurt them, and they become a little bit more tolerant.”
...and bed-ridden as they become infested with diseases the bugs were carrying.
Same logic applies to illegal aliens.

Now, if any creepy-crawly wanders into her classroom at Eagle Rock Elementary School & Magnet Center, the student bug monitor swoops in with a paper towel or napkin, scoops up the critter and shepherds it outside.
I agree with the teacher. I do the same thing in my house.

I couldn’t help but think of that scene where Will Smith was stomping bugs just to get the big one’s attention. LOL

You appoint other people’s children to stop doing their school work and take a bug outside?
I don’t mind “saving the bugs” (sometimes). But if I saw a spider in a classroom and it caused a big enough stir to stop class, it better be bigger than the fire department can get out!

I don’t kill them unless I need to. One the other hand I get a special pleasure out of collecting Japanese beetles by the hundreds and throwing them in the lake for the fish.

I don’t have any problem with people who want to use insecticide in their homes, of course. I just don’t have much of a bug problem at mine, so I whisk the little spiders outside when I find them. Where they are probably promptly eaten by sparrows, lol. But it’s just my little tip of the hat to good karma.

Try going to a jungle and see if you feel the same way about bugs.
Every day liberals go out of their way to prove that they are start raving mad.
