While long-held tradition does call an attack on an embassy a "casis belli", or act of war, our own unwillingness in the past to enforce this makes anyattempt to enforce it for this particular attack both ludicrous, and bigoted. We allowed our embassy in Teheran to be not only attacked, but completely taken over in 1979, and allowed similar acts of war to be suffered even more recently by long standing ally, and charter NATO member Denmark, in the "Cartoon Jihad".
