And might I add to your list: threaten and flail about. But that's still not going to move any conservative left.

Correct! We're NOT moving. Their shrill whining will continue and culminate with the realization that we've lost the 2008 Presidential Election...not that there was a "win" in it for us anyway.

The sooner this crap is over with, the sooner we can regroup and be effective. But I believe this conservative split is far worse than anybody realizes. It transcends GOP party lines.

Been here over twice as long as you have. Beyond regular, one of FRs most prolific. Entirely conservative. And voting for McCain this fall, because he is better than Obama.

Deal, already. You aren't the conservative movement and you do not speak for us.

You didn't read the article did you? The facts he presents are indisputable. They are part of the Senate record. There are plenty of sources for the same info and thankfully vets across the country have known them for years.

Can you refute any of his assertions? I thought not.

Karl Marx will love McCain’s global warming plans.

Why keep fighting our own party and socialism? After all both parties now agree socialism is the best way to go.

Hunter’s extremism on immigration is what did him in. Otherwise, he would have been a fine choice for president.

not that there was a "win" in it for us anyway.

No, there absolutely is not. It's democrat for reals or democrat in Republican clothing. Both are wolves.

No hissy fit here. I made up my mind on McCain several years ago. I don’t really care what you or Huck think about it. There isn’t anything you can do about it.

You’re either a protector of the Constitution or ya ain’t.
McReingold ain’t. Strike one.

You’re either a defender of America’s sovereignty and her legal citizens or ya ain’t. McShamnesty ain’t. Strike two.

You’re either a conservative or ya ain’t.
McRino ain’t. Strike three.

He’s O.U.T.

Nicely said.

With the exception of those two times I have voted for the Republican Pres. candidate every time since ‘72.

Intersting. I'm gonna guess 1992 was one of the years. The other one is a toughy. Maybe you didn't vote for Dole/Kemp. If you'd let Obama win, you'd let Slickster win. But maybe it was way back in 76. But John Anderson was no conservative, was he? I'm gonna say 2000.

OK, I have been here two years longer than you, does that disqualify me as a conservative.

There are those of us who are Republican because we are conservative, and those of us who are conservative because we are Republican. I am in the first category and I think you are in the second.

I might point out that a majority on this thread and on FR agree with me. ; )

I don't agree with that. I think that whether people like it or not, charisma is a part of the game. It's not all that surprising. I think a whole lot of executives come from a sales background. They can close deals, bring in dollars, and they have charm/charisma. They can talk/persuade, flatter, they are calm under pressure, and they can get people to like them.

When I think of those things, I don't think of Duncan Hunter. Seems like a decent guy, but he just doesn't have the stuff. Issues had nothing to do with it, just as issues had nothing to do with Fred's collossal flop.

That’s incorrect. 60% of freepers say they will vote McCain.

There you have it once again. Border security, enforcing immigration laws and dealing with criminal illegal aliens is extremist. The McCain position in a nutshell. Damn us xenophobes who believe in national sovereignty.

58% won’t cut it...even if it’s only people “here” who answered the poll.
