I’m probably the only one on this thread that thinks his speech is Reaganesque
******************************************************
Perhaps in words ... but Reagan BELIEVED the word(s) and LOVED THE AMERICA THAT I LOVE, to McCain we’re just sheeple to be used.

My point is that when he screws the Party like that, it’s usually after he’s said that he’s going to screw the Party like that. That’s why I’m asking if anyone knows of an instance where he said he’d to X and did Y instead.

To my knowledge - he does not discuss things with us conservativea ahead of time.He just goes ahead with his backroom deals with the RATS.

What else do we need to know?...He shoves it right in our faces and he wants us to just suck it up and believe what he's saying now.

that’s from him swallowing too many lies. Not sure if there is any stain remover for lies. I’d leave it to his mommy.

LOL Good point. It doesn’t look like I’ll be ironing any shirts any time soon.

OK, is the speech by McCain worth listening to? Some friends at CPAC said it was very good and it won over a few at the CPAC. I’ll need more than one speech to convince me. But is it worth watching the replay on cspan?

Beware that Charlie Crist is a lawyer who wasn’t very good at it so he went into politics. He’s an empty suit. Like Obama, Crist it is said is a good speaker. Still, there’s no there there. But, if he leaves Florida, good riddance. There are still rumors that Crist is gay. It might be a good time for him to lv Fla cuz the Marriage Amendment will be on the November ballot. Of course, McCain imo will lose to either democrat.

Saw 657. Is the country ready for am alleged gay vice president who’s into global warming and driving his Jaguar, going to ballgames and sunbathing on the roof of his condo bldg. Charlie Crist would add gay rumors to the ticket. The religious right won’t go for that and if anyone can determine Crist’s sexual preference, Hitlery can...

Actions speak louder than words. Even if he gave the best speech in the world, it shouldn't sway anyone.

I don't doubt that there are problems. I see them. The existing problems are with the sponsors, and also the workers who skip the job, overstay the Visa and become one of the millions of illegals.

When all this crap started several years back with the anti's and the pro's, I made a comment a few times that most of the illegals were not coming across the border. That traffic is mostly people who came, went home, and are coming back in.

I cited proof with stats on the hundreds of thousands....millions of overstayed visas, including the 9/11 terrorists.

The reason these problems exist is because for years the bulk of the small amount of money put into the government agencies that oversee these visa programs was going to border enforcement because the people demanded it. They never had enough either.

This is all due to the failures of Congress, and I think we all can agree.

But let me tell you one thing. You don't have any valid reason to take me to task over this issue because we both want the same thing. We both want a safe and secure border and border States, and we both want to stop the burgeoning illegal problem.

The only difference is that we have different ways of addressing it. We see different things as possible fixes, and we have only slightly different priorities.

We can fix the visa problems, but it will take money and resources plus a lot of new hires. We can fix the border.

What we can't afford to do, is create a permanent underclass in our society so that we look like France, and parts of Europe with a entire sectors of people who hate the government and the people of France or insert country here______ enough to kill them because of the long years of mistreatment, that was not intentional on the government's part. It happened because the society saw the immigrants as second and third class people and would not let them assimilate.

This will happen to us if we are not careful, and it may well be happening now. I believe it is well into a spiral that will cause us more problem then we know. But it's not too late to fix it. In the case of France, it may well be too late. It gets worse each and every year and they are not Mexicans, they are from dozens of countries...dozens..

This is a very serious issue. I don't think McCain even understands it. I know the Congress does not. Bush does. He tried, and left the details to Congress. What they came up with was garbage. We can even agree on that.

No love lost here. I'll pitch in for his ticket out of here.

I think McCain will lose too. He's stepped on too many people for them to rally for him.

Why are there so many loosers in political office? We should have the cream of the crop. Instead we get the ‘tackie’ gross liar crowd.

Republicans are so shell-shocked and demoralized by the success of the Bush Derangement Syndrome, they think they can fool the voters by nominating an open-borders, anti-tax cut, anti-free speech, global-warming hysteric, pro-human experimentation “Republican.”
Which is to say, a Democrat.
-—Ann Coulter February 6, 2008

Must be repeated.

Thank goodness I am not and have never been demoralized enough to vote for a man with the character of John McCain.

Because Americans are spoiled rotten brats, and love men who lie to them, anyone who promises to take away all the pain, work, drudgery, difficult decisions, sacrifice, any man promising comfort, and an end to life worries.

Maybe most can’t even be called Americans anymore, we are Europe now.

Very few rugged individualists left.

Soros is a big player at CFR. McCain and Bill Clinton are members as are most of the Elites in the world..

After this election, the line between R and D will no longer exist.

More McCain/Soros tidbits.
