That assumption, which I held five years ago as firmly as you hold now, I finally figured out is WHY we're looking at the train wreck of ultra-liberal Democrat and Intrusive Government Republican candidates we have today. Had enough Republican voters rejected that false premise over the past decade and refused to settle for intrusive government Republicans they didn't like but voted for because of the R, the Republican party would not have moved so far left that it set the bar for Liberalism at the likes of Hillary and Obama and put up an entire field of Republican candidates that actually endorse intrusive government concepts like nationalized health care, save-the-planet global warming restrictions, "rights" of homosexuals to lead your local Boy Scout troop, etc. That I and others have for so long unskeptically accepted the ol' "still better than the alternative!" position is why we're in this mess in the first place.
I'll vote, but my choice will be predicated on using my vote to push the Republican party RIGHT. Bottom line: neither Romney nor McCain nor Huck will ever get MY vote because long-term, they are worse than the alternative.
That’s horse crackers.
Romney is on record as an anti-life, pro-gay, anti-gun, pro-amnesty, pro-government health radical social liberal.
McCain is on record as an anti-free speech, pro-amnesty, anti-assault weapon, pro-tax rino liberal.
Huckabee is on record as a pro-amnesty, pro-tax, pro-big government liberal.
Those are the facts. We can all have our opinions, but we don’t get to make up our own facts.
But,,,, we can send a message to the RINOS at the RNC. When they call for dough, tell them we fund only "candidates" that we support---conservatives not the RNC. Not one dime for them until they get it.
“So what...we have technology that can give us exit polling data in states where the polls haven’t even opened yet? I’m amazed.”
LOL....We don’t start caucasing until 7:00 pm Central
Now this is maturity. I don’t like Mitt Romney but I would vote for him over Hillary Clinton. Fellow conservatives, don’t be unwise. We need to keep the Clintons OUT of the White House. Let’s not be spiteful, fellow Freepers.
“Those are the facts. We can all have our opinions, but we dont get to make up our own facts.”
LOL!!!!! Does that pertain to you too? Or just to the rest of us??
I tried that two years ago - didn't work. The only thing I have left to take away is my vote. Romney is very marginally less unacceptable than McCain.
That said, comparing he and Mitt, I see a difference. Mitt as a Republican Governor was forced by a liberal legislature, liberal judges and liberal voters to have some liberal actions or leave office. In several case, he used the veto pen.
McCain, on the other hand, has had no reason to choose to join the liberal leagues on bill after bill, newscast after newscast, and thus damage greatly both conservative principles and constitutional principles. One can only wonder what his reasons are, but the result has been to garner media attention and to stick it to Bush and Republican voters.
I expect you can search high and low and not find my suggesting other than access to exit polling that does exist. However, they would have early exit polling combined with late yesterday and overnight polling to go with it.
As of yesterday, McCain was ahead by 18 points over Romney in national polling. Given that this Super Tuesday is “nearly” a national election, that is very significant.
Combined with New York, Georgia, and New Jersey early data comprising about 200 delegates, I’d say that the media is in a good position to have some clear statistical insight.
Well said, that is the way I feel. Fred I miss you.
“All the GOP candidates are equally bad, but yet are still better than the alternative.”
The most important issue is defending our southern border, and maintaining US sovereignty in the USA.
Only one of the four remaining leading candidates will do that: Mitt Romney.
So far - you being aware of FACTS is evident of the aritcle you posted. “Like Laura knows something..” You are wrong with the facts but you want to be - info is handed on a platter to you from the media - and you eat it up and spead it around, a media pawn. Just know YOU have been taken, you have been duped by the media, they are the pros - and they always have some to eat their pablum. The rest of us - truth seekers - are well informed.
Those are the facts. We can all have our opinions, but we dont get to make up our own facts.
Those are not facts. They are your biased opinions. You sound just like John McCain.
I won’t vote for McCain!
I did not force McCain to offer McCain-Feingold and I did not force Mitt Romney to make public statements supporting abortion and the gay agenda.
Those are facts.
Deal with them.
FR is a microcosm of the world. The “we” I was referring to was the republican party that didn’t support some solid choices. The problem with tearing people down is that when they become what’s left standing then it makes it real hard to support them. My tag line says that Romney is my favorite 3rd choice like that’s ever an empowered situation to be in.
?
Why didn't you report that?
Kalifornia - may win popular but not the majority of delegates.
Georgia - I think Mormonism is a problem there but you only get the occasional redneck to admit it.
Utah - slam dunk.
Colorado - all except the cities - delegates????
Alaska - who knows.
Montana - again all but big cities.
West Virginia - should do ok.
Massachusetts - if he loses there he is done. The "home" state thing is very telling.
You obviously did not understand my post. LOL
