Temporary...like the phone tax to fund the Spanish-American War that was later increased before finally being ended in 2006, after 108 years.
The Republican establishment is almost as corrupt, morally bankrupt, and anti-American as the Democrat establishment. The only real difference is that they are not always "in your face!" about it.
The world has changed since the 1700s.
You too, huh?
Boy howdy....there’s some real numbskulls running that show, aren’t there.
Aren’t you one of the posters who was all over the Duncan Hunter threads, putting him down?
I’m ONLY ASKING as I’m too lazy to go look.
I want call you a kook. A DUmmie troll, however, would be an accurate description.
LOL! You think I’m a fringe voter? HAHAHAHAHA. You have nooooo idea who you’re talking to, buddy. My politics are far from being right-wing extreme. I was pushing for Romney or Giuliani. At least they haven’t worked to undermine the Republican party like McCain has.
Really, you guys need to reevaluate who you’re calling the “fringe.” I think you’re deluding yourselves as to who it is that’s opposing your boy McCain. A lot of these Freepers who just plain despise McCain are Thompson, Romney, and even Huckabee supporters, not the Alan Keyes types.
I criticized Hunter for his extremist views on immigration, and I stuck it to the more annoying Duncan Donutters every now and then, but I also commended Rep. Hunter for his steadfast support of the War on Terror and suggested he would make a superb Secretary of Defense.
Extremist views on immigration, huh?
OK then. Well, um, carry on, I guess....
I hope this is not the LAST ping for the Hunter list. ;o)
Regarding Reagan...he was not electable in ‘76.
So, we got Carter...the Annapolis Grad.
Thank the Good Lord that Reagan WAS not only electable, but totally desired, in ‘80.
We are at a crossroads now.
May the best man, and our country, win.
Interesting times we live in...;o)

Do I have to asked what was said?
lol
It is all pretty accurate. The starting of a new major party isn’t going to happen, though.
I no longer have a dog in this fight.
I'll vote for the (R) in the general election as I hold my nose. Don't think I'll bother with the primary, tho I might vote for Paul, just to piss some rinos off.
The only reason I'm a registered Pub was to vote in the primaries....well, the pubs have left me behind, probably for the last time.
I fear for my Republic due to marxist influence in our government. Open eyes/see
FMCDH(BITS)
To you Reagan was not a sane non-pandering leader?
I respectfully disagree.
Those who stayed home in '06 were sick of the out of control spending, and too many moral issues to name.
The Republicans as a party were so off track that they derailed themselves.
It pains me to see where we have come to.
Which is why it makes me laugh that these McCainiacs think that only the “fringe” won’t vote for McCain and that their votes won’t matter. It’s pretty evident that when the Republican base gets apathetic and disgusted, they stay home and don’t vote. You can see what happened in 2006 as a demonstration. No amount of squishy independent vote is going to overcome that.
With McCain or Romney, we still have a 50/50 chance that they would appoint conservative Judges. There's really no way to tell, but one thing is for certain, if we all run off and vote for a third party, we will guarantee that Hillary or Obama will be the next President, and the Judges they would appoint will be socialists who would rule against everything we stand for.
The next thing to consider is that if Hillary or Obama get in they will immediately pass amnesty, and the RAT controlled House and Senate will pass it right through. Once those illegals are legal, they will ALL vote for the RATS, from now on, and we will NEVER win another election. Do I want McCain or Romney? NO! But, what Hillary or Obama offer, I want even less. There's really no assurance that McCain or Romney wouldn't pass through an amnesty, (especially McCain) but we still have that 50/50 chance.
So, although I detest McCain, I would vote for him with hopes that he would appoint conservative Judges. IF not, we're no worse off than if Hillary or Obama won. IMHO, joining a third party now will give us President Hillary or Obamanation! Maybe working on it between now and the next election will be a much better time to switch. :o)
The top 4 Republican candidates are more suitable for the Democrat Party. It is like we are choosing the least harmful Democrat. The CLintons are the neoMafia wing of the party. Obama is the Messianic Socialist faction. Romney seems a sort of Hubert Humphrey Democrat. Huckabee is somewhere between Carter and Bill-without-the-mob. Giuliani is left over from the Jackson Democrats. McCain is nuts.
