"Actually Wes totally deserves Fishtale: when idiots arent on your side, youve picked the right side ;)"How Clintonian of you to defend cheating in such a manner.

Last year they were not one of the best teams . . .And yet there they were playing in the AFC Championship game last season, one of only four teams left standing.
Based on your hate for them I have to conclude that they must have beat your team bad and you are just looking to assuage your hurt pride.

Wes Welker is a good receiver made better by being on a team loaded with top receiving talent and a very good QB. That's what so many people forget. There are a lot of "Wes Welkers" in the NFL, but they are often double-teamed. When defenses can't concentrate on one receiver, the pressure's off. Case in point: San Diego's Vincent Jackson became a beast after the Chargers picked up Chris Chambers from Miami. To be in the NFL, you have to be very good. Sometimes being 'elite' or a stand-out is a matter of being on the right team.
I still hate the Patriots.

Logic won’t work on this guy. Trust me. I floated the same argument only to be verbally merry-go-rounded until I got a headache.

He reminds me of my Mother in Law, who was in desperate need of hormones. Irrational to the point of being obsessive/compulsive.

I love Fishtale’s tacit agreement with my brilliant suggestion that the Pats record is tainted since the rest of the league was too stupid to change their signals after the Pats were caught taping at the very beginning of the season. And here’s the beauty of it - if my idea is too stupid for even Fishtale to believe (is that even possible) - then the cheating was POINTLESS when it comes to their record. Like if I wore an illegal elbow guard (ala Barry Bonds) to a chess match. Illegal, but of no consequence. He can stick that in his asterisk.

"I love Fishtales tacit agreement with my brilliant suggestion that the Pats record is tainted since the rest of the league was too stupid to change their signals after the Pats were caught taping at the very beginning of the season."Please don't mistake my ignoring your post as a "tacit agreement" to your "brilliant suggestion". Frankly, in light of the facts, you simply have no idea what you are talking about so I just chalk that up to complete ignorance.
But, thanks for playing.

"And yet there they were playing in the AFC Championship game last season, one of only four teams left standing."They were trending down and were the most vulnerable of those teams. If you didn't realize that, you weren't paying attention. If you think that's ridiculous, that's fine. But I have a couple of Boston-grown self-proclaimed "greatest Patriots* fans ever" right in my office who agree that if the Patriots* hadn't picked up those two key players they would never have enjoyed the success they have this season and they were at best, one and done in this year's play-offs. Like I said, I'll stand by my comments.

A lot of assuming going on around here.

Trust, Lil Mr. Extremely Offensive Starter, the best thing that’ll ever happen to you is me being kind enough to put words in your mouth. As, gee pretty much everyone on this thread agrees, logic ain’t exactly you forte.
To: Hegewisch Dupa
You are trying to reason with an obsessive newbie who can’t even keep his own opinion straight. Give up, he obviously has nothing else going on to warrant his attention and gets his kicks attacking a nice kid who finally got a chance to show his talent.

By the way - another thing you are right on - this IS a way cool story.
To: Hegewisch Dupa
LOL! And I see that grammar isn’t exactly your forte. No thanks, I’ll stick with my own words. But don’t worry, maybe they’ll cover grammar when you get to high school.

Uhhhhh.... No. Never banned. Called to the principal's office a time or two, but never banned. If expressing my opinion is considered "causing trouble" then I am guilty. My opinion is my opinion. You may or may not agree with it, either way, I accept that. But I'd much rather have others express their opinion no matter how much at odds it is with mine. Otherwise, life would be boring, don't you think? It's too bad not everybody shares that consideration.
Enjoy the game.
