The worst we are going to get from Romney is a George Bush redux with better communication skills and without the emphasis on amnesty for illegal aliens. Bush at least gave us tax cuts. Romney skyrocketed taxes and fees when he had the chance.

Pardon for the second post, but I neglected to address the other aspect of the headline.
At campaign rallies, Romney presents himself as an outsider who would fix a "fundamentally broken" Washington. Both Democrats and Republicans, he often says, are to blame
Campaign rhetoric, of course. If Mitt comes out and states he's going to sic the Justice Dept on the corruption of the RATS and empower most of the republicans (somehow!) to shake the yellow streaks off their backs and become leaders, then I'll really start taking a hard look at Mitt.
But without specifics, this is obviously a shallow statement created for sound-bytes and voter stroking. Not that Mitt is the only one to do this, of course.

Yep. But i don’t think they were slow in switching strategies in iraq in that the population had to turn against the enemy first before counterinsurgency could work. The enemy needed to wear out their welcome first.
The Anbar Awakening didn’t start until the fall of 06 and that was quickly followed up by the change in our strategy.
Bush seized the opportunity in a timely fashion in my opinion.
