Remember Thompson’s health is an issue as well with his own cancer. So, wouldn’t that be great with Pelosi being a strong possibility of inheriting the presidency? Not a good move to have someone like Fred as VP.

I know, but they were brushed aside in the rush towards a celebrity. Fred’s OK, which is a step above most of the others. But he did suck the oxygen out of the room for Hunter’s and Tanc’s chances.

I’m afraid that Ronald Reagan himself would not have passed the “Reagan Tests” that some people apply to many of our potential nominees. First, he was a divorcee and that same issue had - only a few years earlier - eliminated Nelson Rockefeller from consideration. Second, Reagan “flip-flopped” on abortion; he was staunchly pro-choice in his early Hollywood days.

CONSERVATISM IS NOT DEAD JUST BECAUSE FRED IS OUT.
CONSERVATISM WILL LIVE AS LONG AS THERE IS AN AMERICA.
