Romney might win the nomination, but he probably can’t win in the general.

Overwhelming support for Fred Thompson could happen overnight, and any time.

If Romney and McCain and Huckabee and Rudy are raptured away, yeah.

Interesting statistic:

A little over 400,000 people voted in the Republican SC primary in 2008.

560,000 voted in the Republican SC primary in 2000.

It could have been the weather, but over 160,000 Republicans sat out today.

I think most people do not know about the death of this Border Patrol agent — nor are they aware of Agents Ramos and Compean and the outrageous and prolonged punishments there. The sheeple in the GOP just don’t understand either, like their Democrat cousins.

“I find it hard to believe too many conservatives are going to chose pro-amnesty McCain over a candidate like Romney who has a much more conservative platform across the board, AND has good economic credentials.”

Of the candidates that are left, and viable, Romney has the best credentials. Maybe not the same credentials he had a couple years ago, but credentials. It’s who I’ll be supporting for the duration of the primary season. But the party IS breaking down into competing interest groups.

“He is.”

Today. But like the weather in Oklahoma, that could change in a few minutes. Flip, flop..........

It may also mean that these 160,000, those still living, are for HRC!

Romney’s victory today was far more significant than McCain’s given that it was as much McCain’s backyard as New Hampshire was Romney’s.

Florida bounce numbers will be more Romney’s than McCain’s.

The most compelling thing between the two for Romney is Michigan. Those Electoral Votes can undo the spending MoveOn is doing to steal Ohio. McCain brings nothing like that to the table.

This is so disappointing.

I can’t believe anyone is dumb enough to vote for McCain in the Republican primary, especially after he tried to shove his illegal amnesty legislation down America’s throats last summer (WHICH HE WROTE!!!). Plus he was AGAINST the Bush tax cuts, plus he assaulted the 1st Amendment right to free speech with his disasterous McCain-Feingold legislation. The man is consistently WRONG on a host of issues.

I’m very, very sorry to write this, but unless America snaps to very quickly, I believe John McCain will be the next President of the United States.

If it comes down between him and Hillary in the general election, I’ll have to put a bag over my head, hold my nose, and vote for the guy. Actually, in a contest between anybody and Hillary, I’ll have to vote for the “anybody else” candidate.

We may very well have to get a RINO like McCain in the Oval office before we can get another man with the godly, strong, conservative principles of Ronald Reagan.

WAKE UP AMERICA! JOHN MCCAIN IS NO CONSERVATIVE!!!

Methinks that is just false. McCain is on the record a 1000 places as being for the Iraq surge, before everyone else and more loudly and unequivocally than everyone else.

After tonight, Fred is finished. If he can’t win SC, he can’t win FL.

I am sad to say it. He is a wonderful man.

I think most Mormons vote Republican, but they still vote Mormon first. Catholics used to be like that in regard to “the democracy”.

Huckabee's Christianity is the liberal kind of Christianity that we don't need in this country:

Christianity and Illegal Immigration

“This idiot Novak is on Faux News calling McCain/Kennedy the Bush Immigration Bill.”

Considering that Bush told all of us who opposed the bill that we didn’t want what was best for America, I’d say that’s just about accurate.
