All in all, I was really looking forward to a Howard Dean moment. Maybe after New Hampshire...

I double dare you, I think Hilary will go for a sympathy vote, she will have a “close call” of some sort of nature in the next 72 hours, mark my word.

The big surprise last night was the number of liberals who came out to caucus and defeat Hillary. I did catch the Foxes talking with Rush and Susie Estrich admitted that liberals dream Republican candidate is Huckabee. So the Clintons are NOT finished with US yet. Iowa demonstrated more liberals voting than Republicans.
To: Scutter
I think the conclusion from last night is that the people who showed up in Iowa want a change of the old guard. That does not bode well for Clintons and if FRed is perceived as the old guard not good for him - if this attitude carries to other states. Good news is it means no Hillary bad news is we wind up with Huckster. Huckster can not beat Obama imho.

I think it was made clear-—even by the pundits——that Hillary’s poor showing, getting beat by Obama and Edwards, of all people, was an ANTI-HILLARY declaration by Iowa Democrats.
Hillary must have known this is seething in the towns and villages of our Nation.
Not being able to overcome anti-Hillaries in Iowa could portend a look at things to come.

When I was putting Halloween decorations back in the attic in November I found a newspaper I saved from long ago that I forgot all about.
Tacoma News Tribune
December 20, 1998
Headline: CLINTON IMPEACHED
I can’t wait to add to this news paper collection, one that says “Clinton Drops out of Race”.
To: Just mythoughts
Iowa demonstrated more liberals voting than Republicans. The Anti-Hillary vote came out in droves---in one district four times the 2004 caucusers showed up to vote.

How many total votes were cast for Republicans? The liberals out numbered Republicans and the overwhelming majority vote on both sides was against the Clintons.
Iowa is known for picking the ‘religious’ sounding republican candidate, and those voters only want sweet nice sounding words. Not exactly representative of this nation as a whole. That ‘hard rock’ state is next and it appears that the comeback of a Phoenix rising from the ashes will overshadow Iowa in less than a week.

Yes I agree. I think Obama will sweep all.
I don't like Hillary but I can't quite embrace Obama
I think the Huckster will not fair so a well in NH or other primaries.

Bet as much as you can because that’s a sucker bet. They will be making stuff up if he wins in NH.
Watch for her minions to start in earnest this weekend with loud questions about his voting record.

Hillary has had a set back but that is all.
Her political machine will take out Edwards first and Obama second. She will go on to win the Democrat nomination rather handily. Whether she wins in November depends on who the Republicans nominate. She loses to everyone but the Huckster who she decisively defeats and carrry 45 states.

Hillary: You mean TV Commercials?
Bill; I mean bribing precinct captains.

I’ve recently had a job change to a place where I work with more folks who are significantly younger than me. The Obama vote counts have me wondering if that’s a big factor here.
Policies aside, who do the Republicans have that appears as young and vibrant as Obama?
Answer: No one.
Something to think about.

I can’t wait until the day we hear no more about the Clintons. While I still think Hillary is the easiest candidate for the Republicans to beat in the general election, I’m torn by the joy of maybe not having to see Hillary and Bill in the news too much longer.

My first thought like that was - Bill better watch his back. A widow would get a lot of sympathy.
