Now who would go to the trouble to send this bogus Christmas card from Romney
To: AmericanMade1776
Wow - I don’t like Mitt for POTUS, but this is a pretty low blow.

Who do you think sent it? It must have cost quite a bit of money.

You would think it would of caused quite a paper trail too.

Whoever this can be traced to is scum of the earth.
I wasn’t even a Mitt guy, but this has me feeling sympathy for him. Imagine having to put up with this sort of stuff...

I think this has George Soros’ fingerprints all over it.

Just wonder who would go to all that trouble.
To: AmericanMade1776
No Idea, but they spared no expense. Personally I see nothing wrong with the card, if a Mormon friend sent it to me, I wouldn’t be offended.
I don’t support Romney for President. But I have nothing against him personally, just politically. But this is a pretty expensive way to bash a candidate, and I just don’t get the point of it??? Why go to such trouble?

Mitt, or someone working for him, probably did it.
Then disavowed it, when it did not play well.
Then Mitt got to be the (Perpetual) Victim again.

In Political campaigning some will go to ALL lengths and pull ALL levers for any political gain. Hillary is the prime example for doing anything for power.

The last page of a bogus holiday greeting card received by many South Carolina Republicans this week purported to be from from GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney citing controversial passages of the Book of Mormon. This page features a photograph of a temple above a box that says ‘Paid for by the Boston Massachusetts Temple’ Romney’s campaign said it had nothing to do with the cards and a Boston Temple official said the temple had nothing to do with sending mail to South Carolina Republicans, who go to the polls Jan. 19, 2007

the detective in me says, someone with a lot of money to spend and not much competition in the opposing party.
Two words come to mind, Sidney Blumenthal.

As smears go, it doesn't appear to be much of one compared to the price. I could see how it would be a smear if it was sent to Black Baptists, but even the use of words that could be taken as code words would help as much as they hurt in South Carolina. And it isn't like anyone smart enough to find the polling station wouldn't know that he's Mormon.
Would you consider a fake card from Rudy with a picture of the Vatican to be a smear? What about a country Baptist Church from Huck?
