Please say one for my cousin Mike, whose wife died suddenly three months ago. I got this email from him today.
Never thought this would be so hard. One day you have plans and the next moment you have none...First time in my life that I have nothing to look forward to...Karen was everything to me...three months today.

How cool is that?!! Such darling babies! I got my name in a couple of papers (local and county) as “pin-up queen” for being the first baby born for that year, but no one ran my picture. :(
Did y’all win prizes for being first? If so, I bet all the merchants who donated prizes were shocked when they had to cough up 2 of each!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, ru4liberty. Unless I have a bad case of CRS, I don’t recall talking with you before. It’s a pleasure to meet you; please join us here more often. Oh phooey, they didn’t put your pic in the paper for being first.
We used to have a brand of milk here in SoCal called ADOHR. Each week, in the Sunday paper, they would feature an “ADOHR-able Baby.” One week, I was it. That clipping is long lost, though...:(

Shucks! I wish we could have seen your clipping, La Enchiladita. I’ll bet that truly was ADOHR-able! I lived out there in the 70s but don’t remember that brand. It must have been before then.
Don’t worry. You don’t have a case of CRS. ;) It’s been a few years since I was able to participate on the Finest threads. I hate that, too, because I’ve meet some fabulous people on these threads.

It was back in the ‘50s. Knudsen kind of took over on dairy after that.
