One of the NBC newsies just talked about “Bush’s so-called War on Terror” as the grisly scenes in Pakistan were being shown.

Indeed, Slowboat. It's time for added vigilance.
thank you!
The US should be very careful about its comments on the assassination. We should do nothing that could be perceived as greasing the skids for Musharraf’s removal. Carter pulled the rug out from under the Shah and we got Khomeini.
At first, I thought he was behind it, but after thinking it over, why would one of his supporters blow himself up? It sounds too much like AQ - hatred of women and desire for chaos.
Oh yes, I remember that now.
Granted, I am not an expert on the ME, but I wonder if, some of you who are more in touch with that part of the world could opine what you think will happen there and elsewhere. Am I correct in that she was in exile in Europe, England perhaps?
You said — “Shot in the neck means it was more than one involved.”
No, that’s not what was reported. It was reported that the suicide bomber first shot her twice (one shot in the neck and another in the chest), and then he blew himself up.
So, it was one person doing both things...

...expect more and dirtier
I can’t disagree with that. I think from an organizational standpoint, it’s probably easier for these guys to come out first. I work in PR and it can be a time consuming endeavor to get these statements out.
Ok big guys, time to get to work.
Get over yourself.
It is all about political power and turf.
Ain't that the truth!
FReepers, can you visualize Saint Huckabee as our Commander in Chief at a time like this?
God help us.

You’re right..which means at best, a coup by some generals sick of the shennanigans, or worst, civil war or Iran ‘79.
...who’s in charge of the Paki security forces who are loooaded with AQ?
LOL at you
Agreed kabar, Musharraf may not be the best ally, but we dont need to stir a pot that is already boiling over.
Vehicles are burning in Rawalpindi, clashes are starting in Lahore, as well as other cities. People are taking to the streets, angry. The supporters of Bhutto are blaming the government. There were some explosions heard just now in Rawalpindi. Who knows what is going on. It is tense, and it could spread. Keep watching!!!
