I here, you’re there. Find the armchair, fix some popcorn, kick back and enjoy the ride.
I am first a Hunter supporter, but I was very impressed by this from Fred.

I’m working. I love your tagline.
It’s time for us to coalesce around Fred. He is our best bet.
Yes it will.
But it it a shame that so many people will attach such unwarranted importance to the results of the Iowa caucus. So few people participating in something that more resembles a card party than a serious exercise of the democratic process should be dismissed as silly and meaningless.
That it isn't is, in my view, unfortunate.
But that being the way it is, we live with it.
Who cares what I think about it anyway?
I stole it from another brilliant FReeper. :)
I'm not running for anything. I have nothing to prove or to demonstrate. But Fred Thompson says he does.
However he hasn't, he won't and he can't.
The idea that he's a serious candidate for the nomination gets more farcical every day.
.
Well said.
The thing about Thompson is that he hasnt yet been drawn into the ME ME ME tac that the rest have. Then there is the out and out lying and all by the rest-Dems and Republicans.
I think Mr Thompson is level headed enough to put some civility back into politics at a time when we really need it. If he falls and doesnt get the nod, I am afraid we are headed for all out civil war in this country. The shouting has been going on for years now and all it would take is a spark to get it going.
If Fred would simply say he would back a Fair Tax or some other form of tax and abolish the present tax system, he would rocket to the front of the pack. Be a champion of the working class..he already has the rest of the issues nailed down pretty good.
Read the article before you make yourself look more stupid than you already have.
“Yes, Thompson’s five-stop-a-day schedule answers critics who say he is a lazy campaigner.”
And he’ll be back the day after Christmas.
He’s already backing an optional flat tax.
You’re just upset ‘cause FRed dissed New Hampshire.
Oh, damn. That gave me goosepeople and made my eyes water.
Do we really deserve a man like FRed as POTUS? Sometimes I doubt it.
I must disagree with your post. If Iowa was about the candidate with the most money, mitt would be leading hands down. He has spent a huge amount on tv and radio spots in the last 6 months. Up until 3 weeks ago Huckabee had no money to spend on paid advertising. What he did do was get himself on local talk radio, as did tancredo and paul. But his message seemed to resonate better than the others. These were no holds barred interviews, sometimes with call in questions. I, like other Iowans, listened to these interviews in our tractors, combines, trucks, and kitchens, and drew our own conclusions. I’m not a Huckabee supporter, but I respect him for putting himself out in a non-scripted format, and letting the chips fall where they may. On the other side of the aisle, Kucinich and Biden were the only ones I heard putting themselves into that Kind of Forum, and quite frankly, Biden did pretty well, but I guess his constituency was to busy watching MTV.
I think Fred will have a very strong showing in Iowa. Leaving Romney/or the 50 million dollar man scratching his head.
Surprise! He has. Mash here to read his white paper about taxes.
You might also be interested in his plan for Social Security. Pretty gutsy!
He will go into the Caucus polling in third or fourth, the next day he will be a strong second or possible first.
If he were doing better in the polls I would get nervous, this is Fred we are talking about, he has always polled like crap right before winning the vote...
Fred has such a plan. I've been at three of his appearances here in Davenport and he has made a point of discussing his tax reform plan every time.
Bingo.
He will take "Super Tuesday."
Myth Romney, Rooooty, and Illegal Immigration Huckster have underwhelmed me so much I am asleep as I type th....................................
