SINGLE always in the past (pre-PC) MEANT NEVER married. That was understood.

"Single", to my mind, means eligible for marriage. In places and times where a divorcée is not allowed to remarry, such a person is not single; where and when remarriage is allowed, the person is.

Jeanne Lenore Assam is from a small town in South Dakota called Brandon Valley.. this is where she attended high school... Brand Valley High... the web page is www.bvhs84.org.
