300 meters is the optimum range of larger shot, probably unpleasant but not fatal.

Slugs on the other hand... Had a friend that took one through the thigh from about 200 yards, he was messed up for quite some time.

He’s an otherwise level-headed guy who has this thing about defending the poor misunderstood muzzies. It’s a very strange phenomenon. Kind of like a mental deficiency or a mental illness. ~ samtheman

It is a mental illness. It's called PESS or Pre-emptive Stockholm Syndrome. ~ Antoninus

Maybe it should be called Pre-Incident Stockholm Syndrome or PISS. They need to have the PISS scared out of them...

These 'peaceful' people were some of the most angry, most violent people on campus.

Yup. They know what they are capable of doing. Therefore the fear what they think others in government will do.

I'll have to ask my wife if she's talked to her sis lately.

Bring popcorn. Report back to us, please?

The peasants are revolting...

Those are imported Muslim Jihadist scum. France ragged on Israel for years as Israel struggled with Paleostinian rioters. Now France gets a taste of it. Serves them right but I hope Sarkozy straightens this out with extreme prejudice

Long past time for the gendarmes to apply Rule 308.

That belief is interesting especially coming from the French, who are experts at locking out all newcomers from joining the economy with their rigid socialist rules, and rigid union guilds. Even if there was such a thing as a hard-working muzzie, he couldn't find a job in the national commune known as France (although Sarkozy's trying to change that a bit).

France had hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese who I presume were (are) just as locked out as the Muzzies. How come the Vietnamese are not rioting? I'm sure the Vietnamese are doing very well and figured out ways to prosper despite the conditions you describe

If they are anything like the ones here in Silicon Valley, they are doing quite well.

... I asked him if he thought it was remotely possible that that cop car ran into that moped on purpose and he said not only possible, but very likely.

So what? You file a complaint against the copper. You go to the press and have them investigate the incident if the police whitewash it. You orgainize protest about what the cops did. You don't riot in the streets and burn down your own neighborhood.

If they are shooting, the police need to dress for war—and shoot back. Like right now, and with real firepower.

PARIS - "It felt like they were out to kill us. We knew there were weapons in the suburbs, but never turned against us like that," one of the police officers shot during youth riots near Paris told AFP Wednesday

Doggone weapons, turning on people like that.

No Shi-ite, Sherlock!

And I say that with sympathy for the poor French officers trying
to hold back the Islamic Tsunami.
