Knowing that the average Dem knows nothing about the Constitution, she’s just giving them a momentary thrill ride.

This sounds like one of those stories where they distort what the person said in order to make headlines.

I’d be interested to learn what Hillary actually said- she and Bill both know this can’t happen. Not that they wouldn’t both like it to be possible...

It cannot be done. He can NEVER serve in any capacity that would lead to him being President again.

"Were this to truly happen, couldn’t one just envision a Coup d’état by Billy Jeff? I would not put it past him to take out the BEAST in order to become POTUS again.

That would result in a mixed emotion not unlike seeing your mother-in-law drive off a 1000 ft. cliff in your brand new Corvette.

This has been debated/discussed in the past. It surely would be a legal issue, imo.

Forget the law, there is a practical reason Hitlary wouldn’t pick BJ to be VP. If he were VP she would surely become a victim of Arkanside as he would want to be the Prez again.

If true, you know Hillary will have 24/7 security to protect her life! That Arkancide karma would come around for sure, with a little help from BJ.

I am not sure about that. Doesn't it state somewhere that to be VP you must be eligible to be President, which BJ Billy Jeff Clinton is not.

Also, if we want to get super technical on Constitutional reading, the Office of President and its duties and powers is repeatedly referred to as "he". Thus Hillary, nor any women is constitutionally eligible for the office.

22nd Amendment —
1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President, when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

It doesn’t appear that a two-term ex-President can’t run for the office of Vice-President nor would he/she be ineligible to become President. They could not run for re-election though.

Bill Clinton is not eligible to be ELECTED President. He certainly is eligible to be elevated to the Presidency from the Vice Presidency.

That's a tautology.

He'd need to be elected.

My thought exactly. It's a win-win for Bill -- get rid of the old battleaxe and get back the Presidency.

YOU are the one that needs to bone up.

“no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.”

The ONLY way Billy Jeff could POSSIBLY become President again would be to be appointed VP, then succeed to the highest office via death or removal from office.

Yes and no. Here is the amendment on it.

Amendment 25: Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.
