There is an opiate of a society -- maybe more than one. We can name it. It is that concept of socialism in the form it came to have in Russia and in the form it co-opted in Europe -- a caste system. It is founded on the belief in an entity known as "The State". "The State" that looks after all a person's interests and tracks him from birth until death, making all orderly.
