I was 45 lbs at age 8. I was a preemie and was quite thin and small for my age, until about age 10 or 11 and hit puberty early. Still, he must have looked gaunt.

Poor thing. Can I please please put my cigs out in these women’s ears. Or other cavities?

Tempting. I don't smoke, but I have to agree. Two grown women without one motherly bone between them. Disgusting, nauseating what they did to him.

I have read that pain --- severe, repeated, prolonged pain ---can affect anatomical (structural) brain development, as well as physiological response patterns, in the young, whose brains are still developing. And the effect can be lifelong.

Why some children are more resilient, and some more vulnerable, I do not know. Some abused children develop a multiple personality disorcdr, seemingly by "walling off" the memories which are unbearbale, and then constructing new personalities out of what's left. Some people evidently can develop a dozen distinct personalities.

Also called Dissociative Identity Disorder. Fascinating, in its way, and so sad.

According to Baker County Sheriff Joey B. Dobson, investigators don't know how Stevenson gained custody of the boy. What they have learned, Dobson said, is that the boy's father obtained custody of the boy in California. But the father gave the boy to his aunt, who raised him with her partner, Stevenson. Dobson said the aunt died and then Stevenson and the child moved to Baker County.

When interviewed by Baker County investigators, Stevenson and Martin blamed each other. Each said the other bound the child's wrists and nailed them to the wall, where he was forced to stand for hours. Each also accused the other of refusing to feed the boy and refusing to send him to school because they feared teachers would see his injuries.

Poor child, winds up in the custody of non related lesbian who drags him along and treats him like an animal! But hey, its just a lifestyle choice (rolling eyes).

I have always, in my heart of hearts, had a hard time with the doctrine of Hell, but this kind of story sure makes me waver.

Don't waver. A loving God isn't going to reward these monsters... then again, maybe he'll give them a second and third chance - they can be born into a family that abuses them the way they abused this innocent child.

And we were treated like crap too. I can recall being about 6 or 7 and being tossed out of one of her girlfriends houses with a bag of chips and 2 or 3 sodas with a bunch of other kids who’s moms were there. They were in there smoking pot and doing whatever while we were on the front porch starving. They didn’t care. It has more to do with a good grounding in reality than it has to do with hatred of men.
