And we're entitled to express our opinion of their decision to the hotel chain.
When my boss says, "I decided to save a tree by not printing an agenda for the meeting," I tell him, "they grow back, you know." Glad he has a sense of humor, unlike the other Green Nazis.
How then do you interpret this verse?
Acts 17:23Doesn't this passage imply that some Athenians (pagans) were seeking God to the best of their limited understanding? For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. Now what you worship as something unknown I am going to proclaim to you.
They were hedging their bets. They were so polytheistic that they wanted to cover all their bases, so they created a “just in case”. They were seeking a god they could manufacture to their own understanding, as all heathen do.
We have no understanding of God, and no compulsion to seek Him, unless He wills it and acts first.
Ezek 36 describes our hearts as ones of stone, that God changes and turns into flesh. How can something made of stone seek after God? We’re spiritually dead in our sin unless God wakes us up and regenerates us. How can a dead man choose life?
If some Muslim organization wanted to supply free Korans, or Buddhists some Sutra collectionss, or Hindus, Gitas, --- I suppose they could start stacking them up in the available closet space?
I could throw in some nice gardening books...
Motel: the new Library. :o)
Lol. I wish I understood it better, but it seems all to common here to read someone who you can just tell is scared to death that someone, somewhere, somehow is having an orgasm. I read the bit about the intimacy kits to my wife, and she thought they were a great idea. Who knows, we may find out which hotel is stocking that dice game and check in for a weekend.
Boy, doesn’t that just say it ALL!! About our society .... Taking the clorox wipes with me everywhere.
That put a smile on my face!
What is it, looks comfortable?
“What is it, looks comfortable?”
It is. I got one after my family and I spent three weeks in a hotel in Birmingham during Katrina. I wanted to be prepared for the next evacuation and I liked the concept. These are a bit pricey, but since we might have to use them often as the years go by, I figured it was worth the investment for us. We’ve used it on a short trip we took last year and were very pleased.

Our Latin Mass priest Sunday had a very timely homily on the end days.
Kind of surprised me, although I definitely believe it.
