If they were testing the brakes aginst full power, it would be prudent to point the aircraft at an empty area, not a building.

Maybe next time they do a brake test, they'll point the bird down the runway.

Perhaps it has the same problem that SUVs have here. Independent behavior unrelated to the intent of the driver?

This picture is probably making the rounds of Boeing’s sales force.

If I were Itihad Airlines, I think I would take a pass on accepting that one.

“The accident happened when the airplane’s four engines were throttled up and the brakes applied. Airbus Chief Operating Officer Fabrice Bregier said that the plane lurched into the barrier and wall “for reasons still unknown.”
hmmmm I COULD be wrong but its my guess that the engines produced more GO than the brakes produced STOP. Just a guess though.
To: Zakeet
Ouch! Lucky no one was killed.

They are probably fortunate they weren’t pointed at a passenger terminal or jetway full of other planes.

Are we sure this plane wasn’t a delivery for Al Qaeda and having a building impact test?

The 5 M.P.H front impact test was a complete success. The air bag deployed perfectly. The plane is now certified air worthy.
