I have all of Ron Paul's old newsletters and will be posting all of this drivel--all of it documented and published in Ron Paul's name at his expense.

Once a lying, sniveling traitor - always a lying, sniveling traitor.
But at least David Duke thinks he's the man.

And what does RP think these soldiers should have done? If the enemy refuses to surrender, you use the safest means available to destroy them.

Paul is also “against the Civil War”, as he said to Bill Maher. Why even pay attention to him? He is as bad as Kucinich. In fact they vote together frequently.

Ah yes, the famous ‘surrender’ ploy the Iraqis used in Desert Storm.
The Iraqis would walk out with their hands up, tank turrets reversed, etc, and once they got within range of our guuys, the turrets would spin about (try to) and the soldiers would pull out pistols.
Chuck Horner recounts just such an event in “Every Man A Tiger” if memory serves.

LSUFan,
I would suggest running to a Kinkos and scanning these. There are a lot of sites that would love to use this. Also send it to Chris Peden’s campaign. His political director’s email address is omarkum@chrispeden.org

1. the incidences were rare, as most units within the Kuwait theater did surrender.
2. Conscript or volunteer is irrelevant - they were uniformed troops under arms who had treated the conquered Kuwaitis brutally.
3. Generally A9 bulldozers were used, not that that matters:
It's armored but it never was a tank.
4. There is no requirement to offer quarter to an enemy in the midst of battle. They could have surrendered before the bulldozers came in, or better yet - left the Kuwaitis the F*** alone.
5. The chain of command would be treasonous if they had required troops to engage with small arms when a simple method was available to eliminate friendly casualtie. Which side was Ron Paul on? (Don't answer that.)

At the beginning of the debates I took Ron Paul for a serious candidate with serious ideas. The more I find out about him and his views, the more he looks like an absolute looney toon.

I would like to see the whole article to assess why he pulled this chestnut of rumor out, what facts he cites to substantiate it, and where he was going with it (what argument he was trying to shore up).
Can you provide the whole article?

Love the “teenagers” thing.
Umm.....earth to Ron.....OUR TROOPS are comprised of a whole lot of “teenagers” too.
