We were really lucky today.
*sigh*
I bet that one of the first souls that come up to see you when you go to heaven will be that shepherd. With a big ‘ole sloppy smile.
Heh.
I need to sign off for the night.
See you in the FReepdom.

I can’t remember the last time I posted here. Must have been last month sometime.

I bet that one of the first souls that come up to see you when you go to heaven will be that shepherd. With a big ole sloppy smile. I don't know about dogs in Heaven, but if so there's another I'd love to see right alongside him -- a shepherd-coyote mix who always looked like a shepherd pup, but was one of the brightest dogs I've known. We invested heavily in his rehabilitation from being a badly-abused pup, and were we ever rewarded. He was much more strongly attached to his human family than any other dog we've had.
Interestingly, I've run into a couple of other (former?) coyote-shepherd mix owners on FR, and their experiences of "bright" and "attached" are identical to mine.

Hi ‘Face. Long time no see.
To: Monkey Face
*lurk-lurk* I would hazard a guess that you've thrown off the Internet Cloak of Invisibility and are lurking no more, correct?
How are you, and daughter, today?

Ive been busy.
I cant remember the last time I posted here. Must have been last month sometime. I confess, out of concern I checked (I've ventured onto an age where folks suddenly going incommunicado might not mean they're off in a sulk or some other living activity such as work) and... yep. Late last month. Welcome back!!
How are things?

I’m tired, but it’s OK. She was glad to be home, but her 17-year old was home sick, so I had double duty.
Her hubby was putting in some OT tonight, but she told me to go home. Which I did. And then I realized how tired I really am.
But I have to get up tomorrow and do the same thing. *sigh*

Things are going okay over here. I’ve mainly been busy with work. As a result, I don’t have anything exciting to report from the past month.
To: rottndog
You’re so thoughtful!
I needed that!

All I can say is, "Count your blessings." They come with burdens sometimes, but to be devoid of the blessings is much worse, believe me.
[A prayer] Lord, watch over this thy servant Monkey Face and give her good rest this night that she may be strengthened for the tasks she faces on the morrow. We ask this in the name of your Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
And may flocks of angels sing you to sleep this night.

I like my job, and I like working with the students. But I think I keep taking on more and more responsibilities every time something changes. I was hoping that once the Big Paper was finished, things would quiet down a bit. I was wrong! LOL!

I have some reading to do for tomorrow, so I better go. Hopefully I’ll be back before November. ;-)
Good night!
