I don't know about dogs in Heaven, but if so there's another I'd love to see right alongside him -- a shepherd-coyote mix who always looked like a shepherd pup, but was one of the brightest dogs I've known. We invested heavily in his rehabilitation from being a badly-abused pup, and were we ever rewarded. He was much more strongly attached to his human family than any other dog we've had.

Interestingly, I've run into a couple of other (former?) coyote-shepherd mix owners on FR, and their experiences of "bright" and "attached" are identical to mine.

I’ve been busy.
I can’t remember the last time I posted here. Must have been last month sometime.

I confess, out of concern I checked (I've ventured onto an age where folks suddenly going incommunicado might not mean they're off in a sulk or some other living activity such as work) and... yep. Late last month. Welcome back!!

I’m tired, but it’s OK. She was glad to be home, but her 17-year old was home sick, so I had double duty.

Her hubby was putting in some OT tonight, but she told me to go home. Which I did. And then I realized how tired I really am.

But I have to get up tomorrow and do the same thing. *sigh*

Things are going okay over here. I’ve mainly been busy with work. As a result, I don’t have anything exciting to report from the past month.

All I can say is, "Count your blessings." They come with burdens sometimes, but to be devoid of the blessings is much worse, believe me.
