YAY, ME!
(Goodnight, all!)
Good Morning!
Ok... let's see if I have time here to give my FRiends on the UT an update.
As y'all know, we moved from Texas back to MN. We are currently living with her parents on a large-ish hobby farm. No real conflicts there, although some tensions exist.
The tech job market up here is only a fraction of the market in Austin, so finding work has been kinda iffy. I'm on a temporary contract now waiting for a much better opportunity to start on Nov 1st. The current job sucks, but the next one not only pays VERY well, but puts me back on a good career path to boot.
Zon had some surgery a couple weeks back. Had her gallbladder removed. No complications, but she was sore for a couple of weeks. Still kind of tender around the bellybutton even now.
Inlaws have asked us to stay on through the winter as they plan on snowbirding for most of February and March. We have already started looking for a new house for ourselves as my current commute is about an hour (in good weather) and it'll be another 15 minutes on top of that for the new job.
Other than that, the kids are growing like weeds. Everyone has stayed fairly healthy. Only had one cold so far that made the rounds. The weather, up until the last week or so, has been gorgeous. I've dropped about 20lbs without even trying to.
Life progresses...
Not sure how much I'll be around still. Not even sure what my total free time at my next job will be. I'll keep everyone posted when I can...
Morning Rottn!
Work and lurk mode on.
Have a good one!
It sounds like things are going pretty well, considering what a big change it has been for all of you.
Looking forward to hearing from you more often.
:-)
Hello, everyone. Girl Scouts this afternoon, church festival this weekend, so I’m rushing.
It doesn’t appear that there will be any disasters!
One thousand!
I know about job and not being around much; I've gotten quite a bit of that with my new job -- and I'm probably about to disappear for the day too.
Good news, DC!
But you said nothing about staying out of trouble.... Can we take that to mean that you and Captain Morgan are still friends?
I’m glad Zon is healing after her gall bladder surgery. All the women in my family for several generations had to have ours out. Best wishes for her!
It’s good that the kids are growing and healthy. When you can, we’d like more photos. (You know how I am....)
Meanwhile, we’ll take the updates when we can get them!
*HUGS* to all.
Onr thousand and eight!
And no spel chekr!
Wdhayda need a slpel cekcehr for aaywny?

Hey!
This thread is dead!
*insert picture of parrot*
Isn’t this supposed to be the undead thread?
I guess it depends on who you ask.
What’s the topic?
Has anyone seen my tinfoil hat?
I’m gone for the night.
Yes, but the undead who poulate the UT have been busy.
We are not allowed to have a topic.
Your hat is in the drawer by the stove, wrapped over a cardboard tube, ready to be styled into the latest fashion.
Life is getting back to normal around here,.....Rush actually managed to run (hobble) up to see me when I woke up this morning, and his bandages were changed again this afternoon.
So far, so good.
Geez, I was a basket case yesterday, and I didn’t even realize it until now.
:-)
How’s is you daughter doing?
And you? Doing OK?
It's not dead.
It's merely pinin' for the fjords.
