Thanks for reminding me that I haven’t eaten at the Melting Pot in a couple months, I need to call and make a reservation. Their fondue is incredible!
Haven’t talked with you in a long while. It’s good of you to keep our memories refreshed. I posted this here because I want to get the word out about his flippant response to Terri. Isn’t it amazing though when you think about it, Terri lingers on (and powerfully so) in the political arena. She lives on as a LITMUS TEST for candidates! The fact that she is even referred to by the MSM shows us that they know how hot this event was and still is.
I know also of cases where the doctors said there is no hope but the patient recovered.
Thanks for the link, 8mm! COOL! I have great respect for the man. May God’s blessings rest on his race.

The National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund will hold its 14th annual Proudly Pro-Life Awards Dinner on Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at 7:00pm at the Willard Inter-Continental Hotel in Washington, D.C. A pre-dinner reception will be held at 6:00pm. The Proudly Pro-Life Award highlights the diversity of pro-life people and honors those with a long-standing commitment to courageously defend innocent human life. This year, National Right to Life will honor the family of Terri Schindler Schiavo: Robert and Mary Schindler, Bobby Schindler and Suzanne Schindler Vitadamo. The Schindler family came to national and international prominence in their fight to save their daughter and sister, Terri Schindler Schiavo, from death by starvation and dehydration. Terri died on March 31, 2005, after fourteen days without nutrition and hydration. Since then, the Schindler family has created a foundation to help those, like Terri, who are medically dependent and disabled. ~Snip~

JAN MICKELSON, HOST: Also last night in one of the debates, a new face showed up to debate some of the values issues. Alan Keyes has joined the presidential debate, and he is on our newsmaker line. Alan Keyes, thank you for joining us this morning, sir.

MICKELSON: You mentioned something a few seconds ago about judges usurping the proper role of the legislature. When they do that, and the legislature complies and allows them to get away with it and say, "Well, I guess the only way we can overcome judicial tyranny is to wait until we can elect new guys that we can use to pack the court with judges who will exercise their form of judicial tyranny," what is the proper role in dealing with judicial tyranny?
KEYES: It's very simple, really. All three branches are independent. The executive the president, the governor has a responsibility to the constitution of the state or of the national government. If it's the president, it's the national Constitution. He swears an oath to uphold it. If the judges tell him to do something, or if the judges are doing something that is against that Constitution, he has an obligation by his oath to refuse to file their opinion, and to step in and protect the country from the destruction of rights, our constitutional rights.
MICKELSON: What is the way to step in and do that?
KEYES: Look at Jeb Bush. The Jeb Bush situation down in Florida is a good example: Terri Schiavo was being done to death by judicial fiat and murder, and the Florida constitution says a citizen has an unalienable right to life that must be respected. In light of that, the governor should have gone down there, put in that feeding tube, and said that he has the responsibility under the Florida Constitution to defend this woman's life.

BRANDON - Hundreds of conservative Christians are expected to converge here today for a three-day meeting intended to mobilize support for the bedrock issues of the religious right.
Dubbed the Family Impact Summit, the nondenominational event will feature a variety of speakers and panelists who represent a Who's Who among the Christian Right. Scheduled presenters include Tony Perkins, head of the Family Research Council; Richard Land, who leads the Southern Baptists' lobbying arm; and former Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris.
Former Republican presidential candidate Gary Bauer will serve as a keynote speaker, and Bobby Schindler, brother of Terri Schiavo, is expected to talk about right-to-life issues.

Mom and Dad taught me to respect my Elders, but they didn't know of this one, Janet Elder, who wishes us to swallow a whopper, more than a burger with one side.
We are to suppose that married women as a block wanted innocent Terri dead and they would support the democrat party because it called for her death in similar manner to that of Nicole Simpson, at the hands of approved murderers. Convolute that thought a bit, wad it up and stuff it down collective mouths, shouting loud enough and presto, lie becomes truth.
But shortly after that, married women started to see things differently. Some say it was the war. Others say it was the Terri Schiavo case or Hurricane Katrina or changing views of the threat from terrorism. Married women, including the ones who live in the suburbs, now appear more likely than in 2004 to vote for a Democrat this time around. In a New York Times/CBS News poll conducted in July, a plurality, 46 percent, of married women who live in the suburbs said that if the presidential election were held today, they would vote for a Democrat, while 29 percent said they would vote for a Republican.

Perhaps after watching one of his episodes on Terri rerun, it will all come back and he will know for sure just who Terri was. But which perspective will he follow?
I will watch to see if Mikey endorses him.
Among those he lobbied: Tennessee Republican and then-Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, who was at the center of the 2005 nationally watched Terri Schiavo euthanasia case. Thompson said last week in The Villages, a Central Florida retirement community, that he had no position on the Schiavo case and couldn't recall it, though opponents have pointed out the case underpinned a story line for "Law & Order," in which he starred.

An inmate filed a $500 million civil rights complaint last week against Terri Schiavo, her parents and husband, claiming her feeding tube was diverting food from his stomach. He also sought a restraining order against them.
But a U.S. district judge in Tampa tossed out the complaint Tuesday, saying it describes several “fantastic and delusional scenarios.”
South Carolina inmate Jonathan Lee Riches’ handwritten complaint said Schiavo’s feeding tube caused him to suffer hunger pains and dizziness and that her family conspired with the Bureau of Prisons to prevent him being provided food with proper nutritional value.
Schiavo died in a Pinellas Park hospice in 2005 after doctors removed a feeding tube from the brain-damaged woman. Her parents wanted the tube to remain in her system, while her husband, Michael Schiavo, fought that option.

I told the little girl, whom I will call Emma, about Peter and the suspicions that he might have been very special and different when he was born. Had Emma's response come from an adult, I probably would have not been surprised. But I was shocked when she said something along the lines of, But you wouldnt want a baby like that.

Sometimes we don't see it and sometimes the mask slips.
A MAN who urinated on a stricken disabled woman as she lay dying in a street is facing jail after admitting outraging public decency.
Anthony Anderson admitted the single charge when he appeared before magistrates today.
After hearing how his actions robbed the 50-year-old woman of any dignity, magistrates agreed that their maximum sentencing powers of six months in prison were insufficient and transferred the case to Crown Court.
They heard how Anderson, 27, shouted this is YouTube material as he urinated on and later smothered shaving foam over the hapless victim who had collapsed near his home in Hartlepool.

Terri was a special person and nobody should ever doubt it.
The issue is that natural death will come to everyone. Second, murder is a crime and is also a sin. Terri was murdered. We must never forget.
She's not only a martyr but a role model and a heroine. IMO, she's Joan of Arc for our times. The death cultists hate to read that but it's turning out that way, isn't it?
