Performance ratings from various conservative organizations will differ from eachother, since each places different emphasis on the issues that are important to them. For example, the Birch Society has almost always assigned lower ratings numbers than ACU has. That said, none of the ratings offers more than a “snap-shot” or approximation of a legislator’s conservative reliability. In this sense, ratings can be “deceptive” without any intent to deceive.
Fine. Let the democrats nominate an "elder statesman" for president, rather than the junior senator from NY, and the Governor can do likewise with the appointment to Craig's Senate seat. Let the democrats put up or shut up.
Bill Sali has high negative ratings. Also, Sali expressed no interest in the position.
