I apologize for not providing a link but this came via my e-mail updates from NewsMax.com.
Anyhow, someone tell me who you think a Nunn candidacy would take votes away from, if he runs as an independent.

I think he should pair up with Lieberman and the two of them run as “independents.”

The only conservative Georgia Democrat is Zell Miller.

I have been posting for some time that the party system is breaking down and that I expect four major (or almost-major) candidacies in 2008.
Sam Nunn is perfect - PERFECT - as the leader of our independent-sane Democrat-RINO ticket, and I think he could be elected under certain circumstances.

Here’s an itneresting tidbit:
During Ronald Reagan’s first term, Sam Nunn backed the President on 66% of all votes (on which Reagan took a position).
During Reagan’s secord term, his support fell to 56%.

I don't see him being a serious third party candidate. He's too conservative for the Democrats and too liberal for the Republicans.

Sam who?
The only reason these clowns, who have a snowball chance in hell of winning the nomination for POTUS, run is so they can have an all expense paid vacation for a few months. Anyone who contributes to this clown’s candidacy deserves to be relieved of their money.

The only conservative Georgia Democrat is Zell Miller. Miller also has a personality. Nunn is not exactly going to electrify a crowd.
I'd also be shocked if 5% of the population remembers who he is.

Sam None. He doesn't have the name recognition. It takes a lot of money to run for President. All he offers so far is talk.

Nunn is a globalist on steroids.

Does anyone remember the Sam Nunn "slogan" from a few years ago...it went like, "Sam Nunn want your Gun".
He is supposedly anti 2nd amendment and belives in strict gun control laws. Of course, he'd still be better than hillary.

Unity 08 is no joking matter,it’s the result of far left dems and rino pubbies, two parties that really don’t have it together.
If nothing else it may be a wakeup call for the pubbies to get their act together and stop acting like dems.

A Nunn run would be a fairly large threat to the Clintonoids.
Surprised to hear he's thinking of a run. Very interesting.

Nunn is far better than any of those presently running for the Democratic nomination. Although I do not know his position on amnesty, I doubt it would be worse that of the present group.

I know Senator Nunn. He was a good Senator. His politics is way to the right of the Demo party as it stands right now. At one time, I would have considered Nunn to be to the right of Miller. Now, I am not so sure. His strength is in World affairs and the Military. I personally think that his time has long passed.
