Apropos Iraq? Sure, I’ll grant you that. Then again, Paul can say he’s been right on Iraq all along, regardless of whoever else shares that position. All the other Republican candidates have to run knowing they were bested by a guy like Dennis Kucinich on the issue. You tell me which is worse.

I am off to bed now.. almost midnite here in Baghdad.. I posted this in the blogger section.. and it got moved to Breaking news.. thats a first for me.. Oh, I hadn't realized you are over there.
I would like to think you are being upfront about your lack of agenda, I really would.
I have seen a few military contractors or personally-invested-in-the-war on these threads who detest Paul. They have nothing to contribute but rage and spittle and I can't help but wonder if some of these non-news threads are a forum created just for them.
Not saying you did that, I'm just wondering.

This sounds like the the same arguments that got us ‘I love illegals’ Bush ‘ again’ . While we fight over which lying politician will finish off this nation in 2008 ,they make their plans . Reagan was nothing more than a quick witted comedian actor who infiltrated over a million illegals with amnesty . Was married to elitist woman rumored to not make a move without consulting her astrologer . Also who can forget Iran contra ?
Ron Paul is closer to being conservative than Thompson or Romney . Check out early votes on abortion ,illegals and homosexual marriage on these two .
Party worship has almost killed this nation . A republican or conservative who acts like a liberal is not a conservative or a republican .
How many more real conservatives will be run off this site with false accusations of hate . Divided we fall . We will never all agree on everything .

Pretty good circumstantial evidence
here.

If the polling firms called cellphones, Paul would win hands down in polling.
Prove it.

LOL! Poor EEE is so confused he can't keep his arguments straight. On another thread he pointed to the fact that Ron Paul voted for the action in Afghanistan as evidence that Paul is for a strong defense. (Of course, his staffers had to plead with him to support the measure -- even threatened to resign if he didn't. But that is another matter.)
Then on this thread he tries to defend Paul's failure to support the Iraq war by arguing, "Paul wanted the Iraq war declared constitutionally and then our troops fight without Washington tying their hands."
Really? So it was just a little matter of declaring the war "constitutionally"? Interesting that that didn't seem to stop him from voting for military force in Afghanistan! Funny, I could have sworn Ron Paul's ridiculous bar for a "constitutionally declared" war wasn't reached with the resolution for action in Afghanistan. Poor EEE, he wants to believe in Paul so badly that he'll buy an excuse he can -- even if it is contradictory!

They apply equally.
I never have entered into the practice of trying to justify my views by comparing those who disagree with me, to the mass murderers of the Nazis.
I do question the “Paulette’s” group and Mr. Paul's view of the US position in world.
I believe that his views are naive and ill formed, to the point that they disregard prima facie evidence of threats to the US, in the name of isolation. His policy of “If we don’t bother them, they won’t bother us” is best held by those on playground, not the Oval Office.

No it doesn’t. I have seen them used on a lot of primary threads. When I do see those kind of keywords used the credibility of thread goes down quite far imo. I will listen to anyones opinion, till that starts.

Theyre already slaughtering each other, and theyve made it well clear by now that they dont desire what we define as freedom. Under Ron Paul, we could at least stop losing American lives and dollars in Iraqs internecine battles. What a load of media-inspired B.S.
The troops get disgusted at that kind of talk, by the way. And they don't want you anti-war people making their decisions for them. They're getting the job done and they just wish people who advocate cut-and-run would get out of their way.
As for the Iraqi people, you clearly have no idea what they really want.

Thank you. I liked your post to “All” on this topic - I can’t find it right now but re-read it several times, earlier.

Well, I certainly do not want to see, nor do I like it, when a person, a FReeper, who is on the ground in Baghdad, fighting for our rights, being called those kind of names. THAT is positively unAmerican.

Yeah, I’ve heard from RP’s own mouth what his particular position is with respect to the war, and that’s all the proof that’s needed by anyone with a single operable brain cell to understand what he believes in and how he would set this country up for an even larger terrorist attack were he to somehow (not gonna happen) obtain the presidency. So, stick a sock in it, you and your liberal friends who like to troll the FR site fishing for people to hurl your insults at. There are (thankfully) enough people who are not fooled by this charlatin such that there’s no worry that he’ll be able to do his damage as President. So, now we just have to worry about the damage he does as a Congressman.

Then perhaps he should stop bashing those on FR who find his candidate to be less than honest in his bid for president. Every insult he throws around at people who don’t agree with him makes him look like a troll.

Thats because half the Ron Paul supporters on FR belong to MoveOn, and just post here to stir up trouble.
You said half.

Ya know, If I was RP and these people from Moveon, and that Jones guy on the radio were using my candidacy to further their left wing political agenda I would stand up and tell everyone that they do not represent me. Haven’t seen him do that. So, I can make only one assumption and that is that he’s okay with them riding on his coattails in his presidential bid. Birds of a feather . . .
