True, but those were apostate Jews, not members of another faith.
Anyway, see posts 53 and 54...

Expect the Muslims to claim that it’s really one of their mosques.

Not sure if its Iran or Syria ... but, yeah.Well, for what it is worth, Joel Rosenburg says probably both. But Egypt and Iraq won't attack Israel...
I think the point is that some signs are becoming true... such as the return of the Jewish people to Israel and the military alliance of Russia and Iraq. And Joel things the end of days is coming sooner rather than later...

Nope: Deu 12:2 Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains and on the hills and under every spreading tree where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods.
Nevertheless, I don't see that it matters.

If they are apostate are they not then members of another faith?
Apostate: One who has abandoned one's religious faith, a political party, one's principles, or a cause. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=apostate

I’ve already raised a white flag on that one...

If they are apostate are they not then members of another faith? Not necessarily.
Apostate: One who has abandoned one's religious faith, a political party, one's principles, or a cause.
I referred to them as "Apostate Jews" to indicate both that they had abandoned their faith, and that the faith they abandoned was Judaism. I don't know that they had enough time to formulate a new religion while while Moses was on his little side trip, although the Bible does record that they were using the trappings of other pagan religions.
In any event, you have already very ably showed me where I was mistaken in my understanding of Jewish law with regards to destroying other faith's places of worship.
(So why don't the Israelis simply obliterate the el asqa mosque? It's not like the mohammad-damned will hate them any more than they already do!)
