It’s pandering, pure and simple. It’s also a day late and a dollar short.

McCain's co-sponsors include [former] Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Jon Kyl of Arizona.

The three of whom still must think that we are entirely stupid and unaware of their Clintonian triangulation.

John Sidney McCain.

Now hear this.

You have double-crossed your [ostensible] GOP support waaayyyy too many times.

We know what you and former Senators Graham and Kyl are up to.

You do not fool us.

We simply do not trust you.

McLame wants us to forget what he said before about immigration:

“I’m not running to do the easy things,” McCain told the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce in a speech. “I defend with no reservation our proposal to offer the people who harvest our crops, tend our gardens, work in our restaurants, care for our children and clean our homes a chance to be legal citizens of this country.”

In his speech Monday, McCain defended and explained his position and also hit back in what a campaign source said was a lob directed mainly at Romney: “The choice is between doing something, imperfect but effective and achievable, and doing nothing.”

“I would hope that any candidate for president would not suggest doing nothing,” McCain said. “And I would hope they wouldn’t play politics for their own interests if the cost of their ambition was to make this problem even harder to solve ... pandering for votes on this issue, while offering no solution to the problem, amounts to doing nothing — and doing nothing is silent amnesty.”

Don’t forget it was the McCain-KENNEDY Bill. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN. HE’S PANDERING AND LYING HIS @SS OFF TO GAIN YOUR VOTE.

Too little, too late for his Presidential hopes.

McCain's co-sponsors include Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Jon Kyl of Arizona.

They realize that they have blown big time with their constituents. Graham is very concerned about a challenger in the primary in 2008. He needs some political cover.

They had some victories, but on the whole, I would say they have been losing dramatically over the last few weeks.

The Spanish language US-based newspaper's brazenly-displayed top headline here this week says "Victory for the Illegal Aliens" with respect to Hazelton, PA decision...(and photo of beaming "anchor baby" producers having a grand old time over it all):

You must work on the “inside” (or know people who DO). Amazing^—and correct—read of the serious situation here about our national security having been compromised.

Wonderful news!!!

The people have spoken, and we have made a difference!

Say what you will about McCain, but don't forget to recognize what has happened!

We're making a difference by calling and e-mailing Congress!

This may well be the beginning of the resurgence of conservatism in America!

Well done, everyone!!

That is true. Even today the Hispanic paper in Los Angeles, La Opinion, angry at McCain's "180 degree turn to the Conservatives", attribute it to strong public outpouring against illegal immigration amnesty. Good job. GOOD JOB INDEED. KEEP UP THE PRESSURE. Lindsey Graham Cracker is next.

Among other things, the bill makes being in the country illegally a criminal misdemeanor and toughens penalties for re-entering after being deported. It mandates an electronic system for employers to check workers' citizenship status and requires illegal immigrants who commit a crime to be held in jail until they are deported.

Folks, we must once again guardedly read into the fine print of our politicians' immigration proposals. The new, "improved" immigration bill includes a massive intrusion into your privacy, all in the name "employment eligibility."

Take note: the news reports fail to mention that the Employment Eligibility portion of this bill would affect every American worker. They fail to tell us that the bill would make it impossible to get a job in America without the government's approval and a REAL ID card (potentially embedded with the controversial RFID chip).

That sounds incredible, especially since the REAL ID has been soundly rejected by state legislatures. Nevertheless, all of this is a very real threat, and our federal politicians continue to invent new ways to silently impose it on us without debate.

They hid it in the last bill that thankfully died over the too-hot-to-handle amnesty, but now it has appeared in the new, easier-to-pass bill. Achieving this anti-American scheme, incrementally, is the true explanation behind McCain's "flip-flopping" here.

In truth, McCain hasn't budged an inch.
