I stopped listening to O’Reilly on the radio and the TV program. He is so full of himself that he is delusional.

They are vile because we know what a phony he is. He thinks he’s some kind of attorney....just because you can read the law doesn’t mean you understand the law. It’s a little more complicated than that. He makes a fool of himself every time he tries to practice law. I hate that I missed Kristinn but I will watch at 10:00.

The fact is, OReilly doesnt like any website that doesnt make him money which means the only website he approves of is his own.
He hates the web because he cant control it. He hates the web because he cant have the government control it. He hates the idea that he is not a gatekeeper of information like the old days that the web opens up opinion to people other than himself.
This is one of the key points to understand about OReilly. It colors every response he has to the internet. I mean, my God!...people are able to express themselves without having to pay their dues on Inside Edition or a paycheck from a legitimate media source. We cant have that! Its anarchy!

I said:
And so anyone who doesn't agree with you is no good, right? You said: YES!
Pretty damned arrogant there.
As someone who has been a member since 1999, I have witnessed this change.
I've been here since 1998 and I think you're full of poop.
Now, even well known long term freepers can get banned for daring to support Rudy Guiliani.
That's a lie. There are Guiliani supporters here today. Most of those banned either (a) lied about actual conservatives to promote Rudy or (b) threw themselves on their swords in some half-assed protest.
Don't come here and lie about what was done. Too many here still remember what really happened.

I have a feeling FR is under attack by the globalists at FNC for its instrumental role in killing the globalist dream of NATU. The crushing defeat of 'the establishment' on the amnesty issues really scared the elites I believe. The fight against it was organized mainly on the internet and talk radio. With people emailing friends and family, and those people reading about it through links. The 'powers that be' take notice when they get defeated by something, and they must be scared because they don't control all access to information anymore.

“He also said he researched threads about himself on FR and they were vile.”
He should go to the DU, where they believe he’s a right-wing hate-monger. Bill is just the kind of guy who wins admirers.

I saw it. I’ve seen better acting on WWE. Television is an entertainment medium and that includes the news. O’Reilly and Geraldo are actors portraying journalists. O’Reilly doesn’t have any core values beyond greed and egocentricity. Like Bill Clinton, his “personal opinions” are based on poll results. If the public suddenly embraced amnesty for illegal aliens so would O’Reilly.

I think we need to put together a list of events that Free Republic takes part in such as supporting the troops at Walter Reed, the Freedom Concerts and such.. also, email him links to threads where anyone posting ‘hate’ speech was ‘zotted’...

I saw FR on The Factor tonight. I haven’t posted here in a while and wanted to pop in and give my 2 cents. Oreilly is probably throwing FR to the wolves so they won’t try to sabottage his site. I thought BOR was very rude. He had two guests on, but wouldn’t shut up and let them talk. Our spokeperson came across very rational and dignified. Kudos to Kristinn.

If a professional moderator is anything like a professional journalist, ala Dan Rather, I say thanks, but no thanks! This site is well moderated, in fact I can say without a doubt it is better moderated than most of the journalistic news broadcasts we see each day in that an outrageous or untrue statement is called immediately by others and the person who made the comment is pummeled unmercifully (figuratively speaking of course). If Mr. O'Reilly actually visited here at any length he'd know this.
