I think the Arrow is perfect for these Iranian weapons. But 600 of them will overwhelm the Arrow system. The THEL is deployed I hear, so I hope it works on these systems.

As of a year ago, there are only two batteries of Arrow missiles protecting Tel Aviv and some of the key parts of the north.

Each battery only has 6 missiles.

They are backed up by some less sophisticated Patriot anti-missile batteries, but you can be sure that 600 missiles would be difficult to defend against.

Now here's the big question: Does Iran have anywhere close to the ability to launch 600 missiles simultaneously? I think not. They would have to use mobile erector launchers in Syria and "shoot and scoot" before the IAF could locate them and take them out.

It's also highly doubtful that they could put 600 missiles on Israel without provoking a disproportionate response.

That is a very good point. I doubt that if they launch against Israel, they will get a chance to reload. With Ibeenanutjob promising to nuke Israel, Israel would be nuts to wait till they landed to nuke Iran and Syria. The first batch should be taken out by the Arrows, the second batch by the neutrons.

This post sums up my thoughts on war and how they should be fought. By NRA2BFree

“The only reason the war in June last year didn’t kick butt like they have done in the past is because Israel has a weak leader and he let it happen. He’s trying to fight the same kind of PC war that Bush is. Had Bush done the “Shock and Awe” that was planned, those missiles would have pounded Iraq so bad, NONE of the Arab nations would have ever challenged us again. They would be fearful of our power. You can’t worry about civilian deaths. It’s war. People die. Do what you have to do to win, and do it quick. Crush your enemy into the ground. IF Israel has to nuke them, then it’s because they started it.”

I disagree. Israel had nukes in the 1967 war and the history transcripts show they were going to use the nukes if Syria/Egypt/Jordan armor columns made it past the Golan Heights. This time around, it will be Iran I believe whom launches a pre-emptive nuclear strike via missle or terror proxy and then Syria attacks. These people view weak leadership in Washington and Israel and smell blood. Now the reality for them if Iran and Syria attempts it will be utter annihalation. Prophets of old such as Isaiah speak of Damascus being a flaming pile of ruin and Ezekial speaks of a massive attack by Gog and Magog in the last days where they attack Israel and the combatants die and flesh melts off, much describing the effects of nuclear warfare. Methinks they will try it and all of us will suffer tremendously when they do.

Your describing the book of Revelations I believe. If that unfolds as described by John modern day Iran certainly fits the bill for the empire that was (Babylon) is currently not and will be again. China is part of the proxy funding in providing missle and nuclear technology first to Pakistan and then to North Korea. Both countries proliferated this technology to Iran.

Did you not know that Taliban delegates met with the PRC during our attack on Tora Bora? How about Assymetrical Warfare, written in 1998 by the PRC that describes how commercial airliners could be used as bombs? Bin Laden to me is a client of whoemever serves his grander wishes of getting the caliphate. Yes, his works bringing down the USA get his caliphate but China is mentioned in the Revelations as the dragon. I see geopolitically islam aligned with the dragon, not opposing it but as the tail. Try reading Sun Tzu sometime. They have learned from our war with the Japanese and when and how to pick their battlefield, after they have sucked us dry economically and converted it into a modern military which I may say they have done quite successfully thanks to the greed and power lust of our morons in power at the top.

Agreed and posted almost identical thought. Also a reality our enemies know: Wars cost money. Depressions drain money. Stop the flow of oil even temporarily the USA gets a depression and the little satan is conquered. Even if the supply from say Saudi Arabia and Kuwait remains intact you get a $7.00 price per gallon during such an event and for sometime afterward. Not to mention the millions of casualties when Tehran & Damascus are vaporized in retaliation for an attack on Tel Aviv. They try it and die for it, though the price tag leaves the proxy states upstream Russia and China very happy indeed and ready to make their own moves...

I agree. Anybody who thinks that is Israel is attacked the US will come in with guns blazing is just living in fantasyland. It won’t happen. Heaven help us.

I agree but what people should realize is that there was not such thing as Palestine prior to 1947 and the UN offered the Palestinians land of their own. They just do not want any Jews in the Middle East thats it.

Americans will fight anywhere in the world except here at home.
Americans will fight for any cause except to save their own country!

Goodbye America, because Americans can’t be bothered fighting for you.

Christ tells John in Revelations that Israel is protected for a time and times and half a time by the wings of the great eagle whom carries the newborn nation away from the river the dragon disgorges out of it’s mouth. Very interesting. China supports the Taliban and delivers Iran via proxy state North Korea and China the way to destroy Israel. America (as an animal symbol representing a nation) is only mentioned one time in the entire bible and that is in Revelations.

For all those who claim the USA will fall we probably will but temporarily. Revelations says that two witnesses that can cause miracles such as fire called down from the sky whenever and wherever they choose as they testify for 1300 and something days are slain by the nations and they send gifts to one another but the celebration is short lived. The two witnesses survive and come back to destroy all of their enemies. I think of John trying to describe modern warfare in Revelations or Ezekial trying to describe the invasion of Gog and Magog. “God” does not have to point His finger and fry Israel’s enemies as they try to invade. In fact Ezekial 38 He says He does this by having America arm Israel and shield her away from the dragon. I don’t remember what time and times and half a time was in John’s day but I certainly see America’s prior unwavering support of Israel falter. However, Israel can stand on her own and when Gog and Magog comes to attack, they get the Sampson Option.

I’ll be here. The Lord has shown me exactly where I will be and that I will be safe. I had this dream three times and then my wife had the exact same dream, same location same hunting lodge, everything. Revelations says that a great crowd emerges from the tribulation whom have washed their robes and worship God day and night. Some of us don’t meet the Lord in the air as Peter puts it. Some of us stay here and rebuild the ashes and provide hope. America will have suffered judgement or what I call ‘correction’. See you on the other side friend, God willing!

I wish you guys would drop the Samson option already.

Quant, I find (actually I infer) it interesting that you translate the 'young lion' in eze 38 as America. That's been my feeling, too.

Way worse things will come to pass before the Samson option is invoked.

Yeah it will be hillarious paying $7.00 per gallon and the economy tanking at first into deep recession. As to popcorn, you’ll be happy to be eating surplus foods later on as this thing will go nuclear this time with the bad guys having the bomb and the economy then in depression. Million of lives lost and my families financial future ruined for the next decade, break out the butter!

When I was looking at Iranian blogs the people admire America and thought by and large the Supreme Guide and Aljhmanajeed were raving lunatics. Of course, that was several months ago before the mullahs created a media blackout.

Yeah or the 12 intermediate range nuclear missles the Ukrainian minister said were “missing”. That was about two years ago. I think Iran has at least half a dozen bombs already and are planning to use them very soon.

Your screen name says you are in Israel. My opinion is this. Israel has leaders in the past after the 1967 such as Sharon whom would not allow such a build-up to occur. The new leadership is legalistic and soft like Olhmert and Perez. They are like the American elites in Washington whom have so much influence over there. We encouraged peace with Arafat and what did Israel get? This Administration gets babbling about the ‘road map to peace’ and supplying Fatah whom is carrying our suicide bombings. Then we want to further give Fatah money when Hamas takes over and creates a true terrorist state the people really want. Our mutual leadership in Washington and Tel Aviv are spineless. Our enemies know this and will attack and agreed, Israel will go back to it’s 1967 blueprint that if Golan Heights are overun, that is the sign to launch the Sampson Option. God bless you and our freedom loving people in this coming awful fight.
